2The rental with the insurances and setting up fees is way more than you would expect to rent a RV. Receipt shown. The hot water was out as soon as we arrived. We called the service number and the franchise owner of Lake St. Louis with no results. The owner would not approve for someone to come out and look at the on demand water heater to which he knew was having problems.| I asked for 50% back and 50% of the RENTAL charge was refunded. It was still $1675 for 5 nights with no hot water! That was with a 50% refund which only was on the renting portion. I could have rented a whole house from airbnb for half that with 2 functional bathrooms with hot water. On top of the charges, there is a refundable $1,000 deposit hold that could remain on your credit card for up to 14 days! The cost to rent a RV is extremely outrageous. Does the customer have to pay $350 to insure for 5 days? Doesn't the owner carry insurance? Why am I being charged for the camper to be cleaned before I rent it? And, it wasn't clean! The floor hadn't been mopped and there were literally cobwebs in the couch! I paid $69 for insurance if we caused damages. That extra insurance charge for the basic protection package is $322.24 and I paid $69 for damage protection. The generator was great and kept going. That is positive. Rental Amount $707.00 Delivery, Setup and Pickup $300.00 Generator ($35.00 / day) $245.00 Pet Fee $100.00 Prep Fee This fee will cover preparing and sanitizing the unit prior to each rental. $175.00 Basic Protection Package $322.24 Damage Protection $69.00 MO State Tax $70.56 Total $1,988.80
