The island Ambo was such a great time! It has everything you need plus plenty of storage. We drove all around the Island with no issues for 3 weeks but we could have kept going forever!! Highly recommend 🙂

Please abide by the following two rules of the road: 1. For your safety and to help us keep the RV in great condition, we kindly ask that you avoid driving on logging roads, forestry service roads, or unpaved and non-public roads during your rental. These roads can be challenging to navigate and may cause damage to the vehicle. Sticking to public, paved roads helps ensure a smooth and enjoyable trip for you, while also prioritizing your safety. 2. Avoid driving in complete darkness and drive cautiously at dawn and dusk. The night-lights on early 2000s Ford vehicles are notoriously dim, and visibility can be a challenge. There is a lot of wildlife on Vancouver Island, which adds greater risk to low-light driving. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!

I'm a nature enthusiast and lifelong learner. In 2021, my partner Emily and I bought a decommissioned ambulance in London, Ontario, and we spent the next 6 months renovating it before driving it to BC, Mexico, Halifax and eventually back to BC. The ambulance has lived on Vancouver Island for the last 3 years, serving as the perfect vehicle for surf trips on the wild west coast, a cozy home to come back to after long hikes in Strathcona Provincial Park, and the ultimate base camp for bigger trips with friends. We're thrilled to be able to share the magic of Vancouver Island with visitors from near and far! As for Emily and me, we work in sustainable finance and have a passion for plant identification and foraging. There is so much nutritious and edible food in the wilderness of Vancouver Island- feel free to ask us any questions tips before your trip!
