2011 Mercedes Sprinter
IndiVana is a custom Mercedes-Benz sprinter van that is living its second life as an adventurer after spending the first half of its life as an ambulance. Indi fueled (with Diesel) our 2020 adventure in lieu of our would have been wedding in March 2020. The van was custom built in Boise Idaho, converting a retired ambulance into an adventure van with all the details to make you feel like you’re living in a beautiful wood cabin. Indi boasts a refrigerator, dinette, full size bed, gas stove, rooftop solar shower, large awning, solar power, lots of plugs for all your gadgets, an iPad holder for a movie in bed on a rainy evening, a pop up tent / bathroom, and rooftop seats for star gazing / unobstructed drive in movie watching. Indi is packed full of high end components making your experience even more comfortable - an interior heater for cold nights and remote control ceiling fan for warm ones. We can also provide an inflatable kayak upon request.Indi has been coast to coast and brought us months of joy in a challenging time. The van comes outfitted with everything you’d need for a few days to a few months of off-grid living. You can plug in to any standard plug at any camp site with power, or you can get into the back country in BLM land and let the solar panels do their job providing you with power for days. In 2020 we had our wedding planned for March 28, 2020. The world shut down two weeks before our wedding date and we were forced to make a new plan. We live in seattle and our families were on the east coast. We had complicated health concerns with our families so even a small family gathering was out of the question. We opted to use some of the would be wedding fund to purchase a camper van, elope in Olympic National Park with 12 friends, then drive across the country to see our families. IndiVana came to us ready to go, but we added a few of our own personal touches along the way. What we expected to be a 4-6 week trip turned into 5 months of travel, 7 national parks, 3 national monuments, 4 state parks, and countless boondocking sites, impromptu camp grounds, easy and delicious one pan meals, and the perfect wedding / honeymoon pandemic adventure.

No smoking and no pets. The roof has some seats and we provide cushions - great for a rooftop meal, catching a sunset, stargazing with a blanket, or even a drive in movie if you can find one. Make sure to fill up the DEF fluid before any long drives (we will discuss at pickup).

Daniel was very helpful & answered all our questions before we even started our trip providing great local suggestions & hidden gems. Communication was prompt and thorough whenever needed which wasn’t often. IndiVan didn’t disappoint! It was reliable and easy to drive. We were able to explore the ONP for days without thinking about where we would have to stop and sleep. Making a worry free flexible schedule possible, letting our imagination be the guide. We’d love to rent it again! 🚑

My husband and I rented IndiVana for our first year anniversary trip to Washington in October, and it was such an amazing experience!
Daniel was a great host! Very accommodating and helpful! making sure we felt comfortable with everything by thoroughly giving us a run down of the van and all that came with it before he sent us off, and was available to answer any questions along the way! One of our favorite things was being able to star gaze while laying on the roof of the van after our hike at Mt. Rainier National Park! We loved being able to just park and start hiking and drive to our next destination without having to drive all the way back to an airbnb. Highly recommend renting with Daniel and his wife! They made our first anniversary trip and our first camper van experience a huge success! Definitely hoping to visit again and renting this van again!

I can’t express how thankful we are to Dan for the opportunity to enjoy IndiVana!
This RV is great! We loved it. We had everything we needed. I was very worried that it would have enough space for my husband because he is 6’6’’ tall, and he couldn’t stay straight inside but I was surprised at how big was the bad. My favorite part was the roof space. It was magnificent to view the sunrise with the coffee on the top of the van. The host is very nice, friendly, and very flexible. Quickly explained everything and got us ready to go!

Dan was an amazing host and the van was exactly as described! Dan and his wife provided so many additional items with the van such as camping chairs, blankets, cooking utensils, paper towels and everything else we needed so all we had to do was pick up the van and enjoy! The van ran great and Dan was extremely responsive to any questions we had while we were away. The van itself is easy to maneuver and can easily fit into a normal parking spot which was very convenient. This made our short trip to Washington amazing and we would definitely recommend and hope to rent IndiVana again in the future!

Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?

Fairly flexible pickup and drop off, as long as you communicate.
Q.How do the electric, water and sewage hook up work while setting up at the campground?
R.
Mostly you shouldn’t need to plug in as the solar panels should do the job of keeping the batteries charged. If you are parked in the shade or it’s particularly cloudy for an extended period of time, you can easily plug in the van using the adapter and extension cord found in the drivers seat door pocket.
