• How big is the fridge? Dometic 3 cubic feet with a small freezer; works on gas and electric power; for best performance van must be parked level.
• What size is the bed? 72” x72”
• How tall is the van on the outside? 9'

• Standing height inside? 73” (just over 6’)
• Is the mattress firm or plush? The cushions are dual density foam. We found it very comfortable with a memory foam topper.
• Can I heat the van at night without running the generator? The van has a propane furnace. You set the thermostat and it runs off/on all night to maintain the temperature. In the morning you can recharge the battery for 10-15 min or drive the van.
• Can I charge my phone? Yes! The front USB car charger is 12 volt and you can charge your phone when the van is off or over-night. There are also 2 USB ports in the back near the bed.
• Do you allow pets? We do restrict to small dogs but please have a conversation with us about your furry family member.
• Can I rent for less than 4 days? Yes, we offer a 2-day minimum. Sometimes you just want to have a quick get-away.
• How do I fill the propane before my trip? You do not have to do this we fill it for you.
• How long does the propane last? If you’re in using it to heat the RV and to run the fridge it should last 7 days no problem. If you’re it to run the frig and heat the van it will probably last 2 weeks. If you are being conservative with the propane usage it can last up to 3 weeks.
• What are the pick-up and drop off times? We prefer a 3:00P pick-up or drop-off time but can be more flexible on the weekends. Remember, we need time to give you a tour and test drive before you take off. IF you want to come back later there is an hourly charge of $10 an hour.
• How many MPG (miles per gallon) does the RV get? It varies by how you drive but as about a 13mpg. It really depends on how you drive and if you are going up in elevation.
• Are there child seat anchors? No, the reason is that RV manufacturers are not required to install them as the laws don't apply to RV's (they are exempt due to weight) There is a shoulder and lap belt for 4 seats. 2 in the back seat. A child seat can be installed facing towards the rear of the RV with this.
• Can we fit 4 in this RV? Yes, there are 4 seatbelts but sleeping for 2.
• How long will the water last? I can make a tank last over a week but if you wash dishes like you do at home (Leave the water running) expect to run out in 2-3 days. Another way to conserve water is using the campground toilet or rest stop/gas station bathrooms when possible.
• What if I have a question when I am on my trip? There is a manual for you in the van and you can always reach out to us via the Outdoorsy app or cell phone numbers provided. We will respond within in an hour (in most cases)

Short Term Rental Agreement – Pleasure Way 2004 or 2004 RoadtrekINTENT
Intent of Renter
1. Training: When you pick up the RV, we will complete a pre-rental orientation of the RV that will take about 30-90 minutes, depending on any prior experience you have with a RV. It takes time to do a thorough and complete walk through, so please plan accordingly.
2. No Refunds for Early Returns: If you return the travel RV early we do not refund the days you will not use. This includes if you have been in a motor vehicle accident with the RV; however, if the MVA is not your fault you may be able to recover your rental costs from the at-fault driver’s liability insurance. Situations can and will be evaluated for exceptions for early returns.
3. Fee for Late Returns: A fee of $10 per hour will be charged if the RV is returned later than the agreed upon time. If the RV is returned after dark, it will be checked the next day during daylight hours and any applicable damages will be applied to your security deposit. Situations can and will be evaluated for exceptions.
Example: 1-60 minutes late return $10; 61-120 minutes late return will $20 etc. .Damages Above Security Deposit/Insurance Claims
In the event there is any damage above the amount of your security deposit, you agree to pay the owner(s) any monies due and allow the rental platform company to charge your credit card on file for said charges, plus processing fees. In the event there are damages requiring a claim(s) to the insurance administrator for the rental platform, you agree to allow your credit card to be charged for the full amount of the insurance deductible, plus the fee for processing any claim(s).Credits
There will be no refund/credit for any lost rental time for any issue(s) that arise beyond the owner's control. This includes, but is not limited to, flat tire(s), weather, all systems within the RV that were working at pickup (refrigerator, heater, LED lights, sound system, etc.), damages to any part(s) of RV whether the renter was at fault or not, or due to renter's or any guests' negligence.Alterations, Maintenance and Repair
Renters are not allowed to make any alterations or modifications to the vehicle. Maintenance records will be provided upon request. Outdoorsy has owner maintain a 90-day review and maintenance schedule. All repairs – should the vehicle return damaged due to renter negligence the repair costs will come out of the security deposit.
Repair costs for all regular upkeep and maintenance issues will be paid for by the owners.Damage/Minor Repairs: Any damages need to be reported to us immediately. If the potential repair is minor, you may make the repair after consulting us. Replacement of defective parts and receipt must be brought back for possible reimbursement. There will be NO reimbursement if you do not bring back the defective part you replaced and the receipt. If you purchase an item necessary due to an equipment failure (sewer or water hose, refrigerator, etc.) the item you purchased and the receipt must be surrendered upon return of the RV, if you want reimbursement.Renter Damages: If the RV, inside or out, and/or ANY of its contents that were present at the time of pick up, including, but not limited to couches/chairs, beds/bedding, counters, walls, etc., are damaged during your rental period you are responsible for paying all damages, whether you were at fault or not, or if damage was caused by acts of nature (wind, rain, earthquake, fire, flood, etc.). In case of an accident, theft or vandalism occurs, you are responsible for obtaining a police report, and notifying us immediately. (A documented thorough walk through will be completed with renter present at the time renter takes possession)Camper Abandonment/Owner Retrieval
If for any reason you abandon the RV, you will be charged a $2,000 fee for Abandonment and Retrieval - plus any applicable fees for ANY lost/missing keys or items/parts from the RV. Abandonment means leaving the RV with no intention of returning to it or delivering it back to owner/drop-off location. In the event you abandon the RV without RV return documents, you agree to waive your right to dispute any claims due to damages, overages, or vandalism.
If for any reason you are unable to deliver the RV back to owner at drop-off location, you agree to pay a retrieval fee of $2,000, unless other terms have been agreed to by both renter and owner.Lockout/Lost Keys
In the event a lockout occurs you MUST NOTIFY OWNERS. You agree to pay .75 cents per mile, round trip, for owner to drive and unlock RV and a fee to replace missing keys. If owner is en- route and key is found and RV is unlocked, you will only need to pay for mileage up to that point round trip. If no lockout occurs but a key is missing upon return of RV, you will be charged cost of replacement of each key. If RV OWNER determines a locksmith is required for lockout/lost key service, the full locksmith cost is to be paid by the RENTER, at the time of service – locksmiths must be scheduled and approved by owner before work is done.GPS Tracking
The travel RV has been equipped with a GPS tracking device for safety and must not be removed/unplugged for any reason. Failure to accurately report your destination or giving an arbitrary destination in order to attend a prohibited event will result in complete loss of your security deposit and you will be requested to return the RV to owner immediately, and NO refund will be granted for unused rental dates. Driving on unpaved road will result in forfeiture of your security deposit, with the exception of unpaved roads in camp grounds.Dogs:
There is a mandatory pet cleaning fee $100 if the van needs pet cleaning.
1. The expectation is that your dog(s) should be vaccinated and healthy prior to the trip. Don’t leave your dog alone.
2. Do not leave your dog(s) alone in the camper van. Leaving your dog(s) alone in a strange place invites serious trouble. Scared and/or nervous dogs may tear apart the interior, damage carpet or other parts of the van. Dogs may also bark non-stop and cause problems.
3. Only bring your dog(s) if they are house-trained.
4. Make sure your dog(s) are flea-free.
5. If possible, bring your dog his/her bed or blanket. Something from home with their own scent will help the dog adjust to being in a strange environment.
6. Only bring your dog(s) if you know your dog does not get carsick. This will make a mess, could cause damage and is unfair to your dog(s).
7. Bring items you need for your dog(s) such as: water bowl, food, toys, waste bags. Again, these items will help your dog feel more at ease when traveling.
8. If your dog sleeps on the bed with you at home, bring a blanket or sheet to cover our linens.
9. Do NOT wash your dog(s) with the indoor shower. You may use the outdoor shower attachments to wash dogs that get dirty while traveling.
10. Be honest about your dog(s)’s size. We do have a size limit for our dogs and am willing to work with you to allow you to have your dog(s) on your trip.
11. Clean your dog’s paws and/or body if your dog gets dirty prior to allowing them back into the van when out and about.
12. Clean up after your dog.Waste Holding Tanks: There should be nothing, including, but not limited to feminine napkins or tampons, diapers, tissues, napkins, etc. put into the black water waste holding tank as this will cause it to become clogged and require an exceptional amount of cleaning to clear. You will be provided with RV safe toilet paper and we ask that this is the ONLY thing put into the waste holding tank. There is to be nothing other than sink or shower water put into the gray water holding tank. Any type of food particles put into the gray tank may cause a clog that will require extensive cleaning &/or repair to remove. You as the renter, will be responsible for any costs related to a clog from your rental.Small mistakes can lead to dangerous situations. Please remember these things when driving:
1. Best to refuel at a truck stop or a service station with a wide berth. Not all gas stations can handle a larger van. If you can, use truck stops. They will have gas not just diesel fuel and will have enough space for the van. They tend to be open 24 hours/day and often even have snacks if you should need one.
2. The van has a longer wheelbase than your car. Keep this in mind when turning. Sharp turns can be quite dangerous and unsafe.
3. When parking at a campground be very careful. If you do not have someone to assist you with parking, ask for help. It can make a huge difference in your experience and comfort, as well as how things work. Other campers will understand and assist. We have found others in campgrounds to be very helpful and friendly.
4. Remember the van is heavier than your car so there is a good chance that it will not be able to slow down and stop as fast as your personal vehicle. Leaving room in between vehicles and for emergency stopping is helpful.
5. The van is probably wider than your regular car. Keep in mind when the road crews narrow lanes that you will fit but it will be a much tighter fit than it would be when you are driving your car.
6. The van is taller than a regular car or van. Be careful of low overpasses etc. Make sure you ALWAYS close the vent outside of the bathroom prior to getting on the road. You do not want to rip off the air conditioner or damage the roof. One trick is when you are on a road, remember a tractor/trailer rig is always close to the US maximum allowed height of 13’ 6” and if you watch and stay behind them (when you can) on back roads, this should help you stay out of trouble, specifically with overpasses and fuel stops.
7. Knowing the van is longer, wider, taller and heavier than your regular vehicle, and it deserves extra respect and thought when accelerating, turning, stopping and parking.
8. Turning. When you are pulling up to a stop sign or stop light you will find it best to stay closer to the white line on the left side of the road to allow the back end enough room for the turn. Take the turn with caution.
9. While the van drives and feels very much like driving a car and not a rig, keep in mind it is a larger vehicle.
10. Keeping your speed on the highways and freeways between 63-65 will give you time to enjoy the scenery and trip. It will also help you pick up as much as 2-2 ½ mpg, and only add 15 minutes to a 200 mile drive.
11. Looking ahead. If you look ahead it will prepare you for anything coming up that you may need to lane change or prepare to react to or slow down.
12. Make rest stops regularly. Even though you are self-contained, Plan on and pull off of the road, at Rest Areas if possible, every hour and a half to two hours. This will help you stay fresh and alert. Just stretching your legs feels good and the dog(s) will appreciate the opportunity as well.
13. All drivers must be at least 25 years old and must be listed on the contract when you pick up the RV.Roads
You may want to avoid the following roads when on your trip:
1. Low clearance bridges and other openings. The van is 9’ tall and you do not want to damage the top of the van.
2. Do NOT go thru drive-throughs of ANY kind. (like fast food).
3. Travel Restrictions: No travel is allowed on any non-paved roadways like logging roads, forest service roads, beaches, etc. Driving on a non-paved road inside a licensed RV park is acceptable.Tickets
Toll Roads, Red Light Cameras, Parking Tickets, etc: Toll invoices are a major burden, and if we receive any a $20 administration fee plus the cost of the bill for EACH invoice will be applied to your security deposit. Responsibility for any traffic or parking violations will be transferred to you and you will be charged a $20 administration fee. If you want to use toll roads, you are free to pay at the plazas or bring your own toll tags, just make sure no invoices or toll by plate, etc. mail comes our way or the $20 administration fee, plus the bill will be applied. Note: Most toll agencies are good to work with and will help you out if a mistake is made and you call them right away.
If we (owners) are notified upon return NO ADMINISTRATIVE FEE will be applied and we will take the fees out of your credit card.You will be held responsible for the condition of the generator during the period of your rental. It must be returned in the same working condition as it was given to you. The generator is inspected between each rental. You will be responsible for replacing the generator if it is damaged beyond repair during the course of your rental period. You are responsible for the operation of the generator during your rental period.
You may not use the overhead air condition when driving this van. This equipment is powered by the generator so it should not be used when you are on the road.Campgrounds
Campgrounds can be a great place to plug in, relax and unwind. You can put out the awning, chairs, table and kick back after a long day of driving. Make sure when you plug in that the cords are not super stretched. You want to make the van as level as possible. Use the levelling blocks and the bubble levels inside to get really level. This will give you the best night’s sleep. Ours like many RVs the refrigerator may not work properly if the van is not level.Kitchen and Cooking
We provide a stove with stand for cooking outside of the van. You may really enjoy this as we do and it reduces the amount of heat in the van especially in the warmer months of the year. We will also provide 2 cans of fuel for the stove. If you use these, please do NOT throw them away as we will refill and reuse them.
The table is attached to the back door on the driver’s side. You will find this easy to set up and use for either food prep or eating on. Most campgrounds do offer picnic tables.The van has a cast iron frying pan, you are welcome to use it. We do NOT use soap so we can keep it seasoned. IF you are uncomfortable with this, please feel free to use the other frying pan provided. IF you use the cast iron, just clean with hot water and dry with a paper towel. A couple drops or spray of oil will help the pan stay seasoned so nothing sticks. If you like to cook over the fire you can easily use the cast iron pan. You can clean the underside of the pan with soapy water, making sure to keep the soap off the inside. We do season the pan regularly.Boon-docking
You can boon-dock with the van and it is fun to be out in the middle of nowhere with no one around. Remember the cardinal rule is to not leave anything behind. Take your trash with you and clean up after yourselves.
Like everything there is a plus and minus to boon-docking:
PROS:
• Privacy. Nothing like having privacy! No need to pull the curtains at night allowing a cool breeze.
• No limits on sound – you can play your music as loud as you like
• Generator – most parks have a time limit that generators cannot be used after 10:00pm
• Views – we have found some incredible views when we boon-dock.
• No fees.
• Neighbors – sometimes others make a lot of noise that may irritate your dog(s)
• Knowing you do not need services offered by campgrounds
• Staying in National Parks, National Forests – most offer dry camping or boon-docking.CONS:
• Cannot plug in – so you are using the generator and gas/fuel
• Showers – often showers are cleaned daily and free or low-cost
• Dog parks – there is an area often for dogs. Sometimes they are fenced so your dog(s) can get off leash for a while.
• Neighbors – it can be fun to meet new people and learn of a hidden treasure that others have found off the beaten trail.
• Other amenities – other than showers, they may have a store for a snack, sell wood for the fire ring, or things you may have forgotten to pack; some offer free coffee in the morning.Awning
We allow the usage of the exterior awning but advise using caution! This is for your own protection as well because they are NOT COVERED by insurance, and they are very expensive to repair or replace if damaged. Damage to awnings, including damage while driving, any acts of nature, or negligence are 100% your responsibility and will exceed your security/damage deposit amount. These fees will be charged to your credit card used for security deposit.
