It is manual transmission. It is NOT a modern vehicle. It is intended to enjoy the journey, not to get anywhere fast. It is drafty and underpowered for the drive but has tons of charm and is cute beyond belief. Probably better suited for shorter trips and slower pace of travel.

What an incredible experience. Described and Listed as-is: a charming, old road tripping wagon that'll take you to the mountains and back with a smile upon your face from ear to ear. We couldn't be happier to have booked at this time and the ease of setting up, collecting and dropping off couldn't have been better. We felt very looked after and wonderfully supported. Such an amazing experience booking Nick's Westfalia!
Everything was fantastic from the booking, to the pick-up, to the trip and drop-off. The van was perfect for our 4 day trip from Vancouver to Whistler. It was great on gas, super clean and had everything we could need (chairs, cooking supplies, lighters, pots, coffee maker, bug spray, cords, etc.). Getting to the pick-up point is easy on the Sky Train from Van and we could not have been happier to book this van!
Just a heads up that it is a 1971 and I would recommend being a confident standard driver to ensure you can handle the hilly drive through the mountains!
