Spud the Sprinter

We had Spud for 9-days and she gave us a great tour of southern and central Idaho. Great power bank and efficiency, we were off-grid for 8 days, only plugging in to shore power one night and our battery never went below 80% charge. A shower is no problem in Spud with on-demand propane-fueled hot water and a spacious shower/toilet combo. Composting toilet was great for middle of the night. Mattress was as comfy as home and plenty of room for two. Linens and pillows provided made for a cozy nights sleep. We prepared and ate almost all our meals in the van and Spud comes with all you need for cooking including an induction cook top. Nice big sink and 40-gallon grey tank makes washing up easy and convenient. Opt for the lounge package as Bri & Quinn include two chairs, a table, an outdoor rug and some solar lights making it super comfortable to hang out by the campfire. We headed out to Twin Falls, Craters of the Moon and then into the Sawtooth Mountains before returning to Boise. There is plenty of dispersed camping spots along the way and Soud handled all our adventures with ease. Bri & Quinn were great hosts. We had a few quick questions along the way and they were super quick and responsive to us. A great experience, wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Spud for your Idaho adventure.

This van is great! I have never driven a van of this size, but it was much easier than I thought even on the narrow mountain roads! The most important amenities for camping, as I get older.- toilet, shower and a comfortable bed. Spud provides all of those , plus more. I enjoyed the awning , the heavy duty screen , black out covers for windows and the fan that sucks hot air out! The owners are great to work with and accommodating for early and late pick up/drop off!

Spud was perfect. The van had everything we needed for the time we spent camping in the sawtooths. Spud allowed us to camp in some of the most beautiful off grid locations. Quinn and Bri were very professional and friendly. We would absolutely love to rent Spud again!

We had so much fun with Spud. We decided to rent a camper van for a friend's wedding we were in town for. Spud had everything we needed in it. Bri was so helpful and showed us everything we needed to know and answered all of our questions. Bri was responsive from the very beginning and accommodating of our travel schedule. As our first time staying in a van, it was easy to follow all of the instructions and operate all the systems. Not to mention the mattress was so comfy! We would definitely rent Spud again and are inspired to begin our own van adventures!
