This is little rig is a brand new 2021 Bushwhacker 10ss. It is great for folks that are new to mobile camping and towing a trailer. The convenient add-on features make it easier to build your own experience while staying on a budget, a great option for couples and solo campers. It's small size makes it very manageable for small and large vehicles alike. In the rear is a gas range, sink, and drink cooler for convenient on-the-road cooking. For grilling enthusiasts there is a gas hookup for a portable grill as well. The interior includes a futon sofa that can be easily converted into a comfy sectional or a queen sized bed - a perfect fit for couples and solo off grid adventures. The tough aluminum exterior provides shelter from the elements that you can't get with tent camping. For months that are especially hot or cold, there are AC and heat as well. Q.What recommendations do you have for bathrooms/showers since this rig does not include one?
R.
For those who do not have experience with emptying a septic tank, you might be pleased to find out that for this rig - you don't have to. Many campgrounds and RV parks actually have public restrooms and showers available to campers. These are usually more spacious anyway, and won't require any black water disposal. For the off-grid experience, there are many creative ways to navigate the bathroom and shower situation. We would be happy to make specific recommendations for your trip :-).
Q.Is there any flexibility on the pet policy?
R.
In general, we do not allow pets of any kind in the rig. It is quite small, and we would like to preserve the upholstery of the futon couch for future guests. This being said, we are open to negotiating this policy for an additional (non-refundable) fee.
Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
R.
Pick up and drop off will always occur in the same location listed on the reservation. Pick-up will include a brief tour of the rig as well as a check list for the guests and host to go over. It is worthwhile to budget one hour for the initial hand-off in case there are any questions. Please be on time. Drop off will include a "walk-thru" inspection and handing over of the keys as well as a check list.
Q.How do I preserve battery power and ensure I don't run out of charge?
R.
Many RV friendly campgrounds offer special campsites with power supply for RVs and trailers. These are recommended for campers who plan to use the AC and heat at night. If you plan on camping without a power supply, it is recommended that you preserve your battery by turning off lights, drink cooler, AC, etc. when the camper is not in use.
