I'll try to be as fair as possible to the owners. We booked the trip last minute and they gave us a quick 15 minute run down of what we needed to do in order to bring back the trailer. I think that we probably needed a longer run down of their expectations so we could have properly addressed them. If you rent, plan in advance to ask more questions and have time for a thorough run down. Our last minute pickup ultimately cost us an additional $100 fee that the owner withheld from our security deposit. I will also mention that we did not have service the entire trip we were on to contact the owners. We had to rought it. Here is our experience:The toilet was leaking urine from the first time the bathroom was used. We tried clearing out the black tank 2 seperate times (even though it wasn't even half full). Each time we did not notice anything out of the normal or any blockages. The toilet simply leaked. Our entire trip smelt like a saturated honey bucket. The trailer had damage on the drivers side from a previous renter. Our first night sleeping in the trailer we woke up to the trailer literally slipping and going from being leveled to unbalanced. We checked and a large piece of 2x4 from the trailer frame had fallen out and the leveler slipped to the side. It seems this is due to damage from some kind of impact or wreck, which we were told about upon pickup. I went underneath to take a look and the damage to the frame was more severe than it looked. Bolts were bent and it looks like a half done job to fix it. This was a big concern for our families safety.Aside from the potential safety concern and the toilet leak, the itrailer and amenities functioned fine. The trailer was extremely dusty and dirty when we picked it up (granted we did rent it super last minute)We ended up dropping off the trailer a day early and left it on the side of the road in front of the owners home. The owner was upset because we didn't do a checkout walkthrough, however we didn't realize that was necessary. Maybe this was because of our rushed pickup, but the drop off / check out instructions were not clear to us and ended up costing us the $100 they deducted from our security deposit.
