I live in a tiny house on a farm, and have several vehicles that I rent to friends-of-friends, extended family, and sometimes visitors.
If you're visiting Kaua'i and want an affordable, low-impact, ecologically and culturally respectful way of taking in the lush beauty of the island, hit me up!I've got the following available for either short or long-term:
-2 fully electric vehicles
-2 hybrids with a sweet camp setup
-[this listing] 1 cargo van that comes as a stylish living room by day / queen memory foam bed at night.
-1 kick-ass lifted 4X4 with a camper shell (Goldie is my baby, and you'll have to promise to treat her right!)All of the vehicles come "naked" for a low price, and you can load up with extras to customize your island love affair! (See "Included" below)Queenie has a bit of cosmetic paint damage and a few quirks, so I'm passing on a Great Deal to you. Nobody's perfect! ;)Also, Outdoorsy's insurance company won't cover Queenie, so please be prepared to provide a document from your own car insurance company assuring me that your policy includes Primary Full Coverage insurance for this specific rental. Or, purchase a separate full coverage policy (from a company like Cover 4 Rentals dot com) if you don't have your own insurance. Email your insurance agent (not me) if you're unclear what you need to provide. If you have your own good policy (that covers you + the vehicle + any damage you do to anyone/anything else) you should be fine (and you don't have to buy Outdoorsy's expensive policy, saving you $$!). Otherwise, you'll pick up near my house in Moloaa on the N Shore. The public Bus from the airport to Moloaa Sunrise Fruit Stand has 1 change, is $4 total, and takes about 70-90 minutes if they're running on time and you make the connection, only carryon/small luggage is allowed. Bus schedule and hours are limited. Taxi or Uber is more expensive by 30-100% than my delivery charge.

Queenie has been recently maintained and thoroughly inspected by the dealership (August 2022), but for the sake of full disclosure she does have a few quirks! She'll get you where you need to go, as long as you're in "island cruise" mode (not speed racing) and stay on main roads (not remote dirt roads or some beach parking lots). Ask me if you're not sure where is OK to go!IMPORTANT:
Despite what you might have been told (or remember from 25 years ago) Kaua'i is NOT a place where you can just sleep on the beach or park wherever you want. That's dangerous, and illegal! Don't worry... I'll share my list of "official" and "alternative" camping/parking options that are both legal + safe so you can have a great time. Please do not rent from me if you plan to break the law or disrespect the KAPU (Hawaiian taboo).Queenie is not a 4WD vehicle by any means, so if you plan to visit or camp at Polihale, this is not the vehicle for you. It is illegal to drive on that road without 4WD, you run a high risk of damaging the vehicle, and any physical or mechanical repairs due to your negligence will be your responsibility to fix.GIVING BACK:
A portion of the profits from my business go back into the community for sustainability projects like plastic recycling, local food security, helping the houseless, and women transitioning from abusive partners.
