Fantastic hosts- great communication; took time to answer all of our questions and explain things in detail. The camper was very well equipped with everything we needed, including little details like binoculars, solar powered string lights, hammocks, etc. Very comfortable to sleep in. The Stephen King quotes and details just made it that much better! Thank you, Heather and husband for your hospitality!

• Absolutely NO smoking or vaping of any kind in or near the cabin. Marijuana and some hallucinogens are legal in Colorado but restrictions may apply in some spaces. DO NOT DRIVE UNDER THE INFLUENCE. • We love dogs! For a $25 pet fee, enjoy your camping experience with your furry friend, but please leave your kitties at home. • Our bunk beds are five feet long. Tall people will likely be unhappy after a couple of days. They are perfect for kids and puppers! • Please review the "how-to" videos on our YouTube channel prior to using the USS Popkin to avoid unfortunate mechanical issues. • Familiarize yourself with mountain driving and towing practices. Do not ride the brakes! Use the brake assist every time. Check all lights and hitch each time you connect. • Although designed for off-road, double-check clearance (17") and turn-arounds, obstacles, mud and sand, and road conditions prior to venturing into the wilds. Avoid sketchy places! • Late and early season rentals: DO NOT FILL water tank to avoid freezing. Cabin is not heated. Zero-degree sleeping bags and fleece bag liners available upon request

What size vehicle is needed to tow this camper?

We use a 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe and have no problems whatsoever. Check the specs for your vehicle.

I've never towed a camper before. How hard is it to get the hang of?

Hey, I get it. I was a newbie when I towed it the 1st time and had no problems. It's hardly noticeable unless you're going uphill. Backing can be challenging-- smaller trailers are more difficult to maneuver. You can learn more about backing a camper here: https://youtu.be/w25UmjyaTLI?si=_RR-deRrCXvEnJve Use the manual shift option for automatic vehicles and watch RPMs. Don't go over 65mph and shut off the overdrive if your car has it. Use the Bluetooth brake assist on the lowest setting.
