Towing capacity refers to the amount of weight a vehicle can tow when pulling a trailer. You never want to exceed your vehicle’s towing capacity, for your safety, and for others.
Usually on the inside driver’s door frame, and/or your owner’s manual, you will find your vehicle’s towing capacity as well as your gross vehicle weight rating.
