Birtha is an off-grid 2020 Ford Transit 350HD All Wheel Drive Dually van. Featuring a custom, professional conversion with Stand Up Vans here in Boone, NC. Bertha has a Fiama awning, queen bed, couch, dining table, sink, induction cooktop, large refrigerator freezer, Maxair fan, air conditioning, floor heat, and a furnace. A Dry Flush toilet and outdoor shower are also on board. The roof rack houses 650 watts of walkable marine solar panels, so feel free to grab a glass of wine and hang out up there. The solar panels charge six hundred watts of lithium batteries and a 3000-watt inverter, the alternator when the van is running, or the shore power plug.The floor heat, furnace, and hot water are powered by a gasoline Rixen system making the van super comfortable in the colder months. The Cruise in Comfort 12-volt AC runs off the batteries and is a dream. Storage cabinets abound, as well as an oversized garage under the bed. A 40-gallon water tank houses the onboard water. This camper is very maneuverable and easy to drive. It can be parked in a regular parking space. The turbo engine, all-terrain tires, and all-wheel drive allow it to go places average campers cannot. Pick up at our home in downtown Boone, NC. Renters are welcome to leave a vehicle at our house if needed. Pick up and drop off times are flexible and can be customized.
