I moved to Kauai in early 2023 from San Diego after visiting the island for just a few days in 2022. Since then, it has been an amazing home and I'm still not done exploring everything there is to offer. I love sharing my van with first-time visitors and island regulars/residents. Please let me know if you'd like help deciding what to do and places to see!

Andrew’s van was perfect for me. He was very responsive with any questions I had and gave good insights for interests that I had. The van gave me freedom to go wherever I wanted and It had all the amenities that I needed to have a great experience on Kauai. Highly recommend!

this is the best van you could choose for your trip. The price, flexibility of Andrew to drop the van, the cute setup, etc.
The van drives smoothly and is well maintained.

The van was perfect for us! We got to see the whole island, and to wake up beside the ocean was epic! Andrew was great!

This is the perfect way to see Kauai! In four days we were able to see a good portion Island and stay at the best campsites, thanks to Andrew's suggestions. The van was extremely reliable and comfortable for the whole trip. We will definitely try to book again!

An absolute epic experience from the get go. The van had everything you would need. Andrew was a legend to deal with giving all his tips on the must do spots. Van life in this amazing place was in our opinion a major highlight of the trip.

Can you "camp" in this van? Yes. Is it comfortable? No. I am 5'8" and my husband is 6'2" and we could not sleep comfortably on the bed. And we could not stand up in the vehicle without crouching. The overall condition of the van is a little more run-down than the pictures show.

Despite being an old van, snowball worked perfectly around the island. The three of us enjoyed it while surfing around the island. Andrew and Julia were very honest on the listing, as so there were no surprises. The hosts are extremely easy to communicate with, and were always very helpful along the journey.

We had a great time! Excellent communication, easy to drive. Cant beat the price for accommodation and vehicle all in one.
Water and electricity easy to use with the flip of a switch. Van runs great (tho AC not terribly cold).
We were two friends- spent the first night both on the mattress but also packed an inflatable sleeping pad which we used the second night (plenty of room to stretch out on the floor of the van).
Gas burners worked great- we just made coffee and heated up left overs.
It felt secure- looks much like a working van with no windows into the sleeping/living space- this was a plus for us as we wanted to be more discrete (even when sleeping in campsites).

We had a great time with this set up! Andrew was so communicative and easy to work with. He picked us up from the airport, and organized a later check out. The van itself was clean and got the job done. I would say it's pretty small if you happen to be tall; other reviews and the description mentioned it, but I would not recommend for anyone over 6ft tall. I'm 5'9" and my boyfriend is 6'5" so it was a VERY tight squeeze and we could not really extend our legs. We made it work for a quick 2 night trip! Other than that, the van was perfect for what we needed.

When we got to the van the battery was dead. The owner sent a friend to jump it who shows up with a dead charger. Then asks us to purchase an extension cord to charge it. Then asks us to flag someone in the parking lot with jumper cables to jump it. 5 hours later, after I called roadside assistance, we finally get going and the van doesn’t even drive! The transmission must be going out on it. The owner denies any knowledge of such problems. We ended up parking the van at camp and getting a rental car for the entire trip. The roof on the van leaked water heavily during the rain. The a/c didn’t work at all. And we couldn’t get the power adapter box to work for the fan that was provided. In the middle of the night the solar power system alarm went off waking me up. Amongst other issues. Realistically, the van should be retired if it isn’t going to be completely restored. After this experience it will be a miracle if I rent from this website again.

We rented it for two weeks, the van worked perfectly, when Andrew gave it to us it was clean and in perfect conditions.
He was super helpful and available at all times. Gave us advice and everything we needed. I would 100% recommend it for anyone who wants to have a fun, outdoors experience in Kauai. We got the camping experience but in a really comfortable and clean van. If you are shorter than 5’3 you can fully stand inside which makes it even better. Thanks Andrew!
