Hi, Thank you for wanting to learn more about us. We are a small family owned and operated business located in San Diego CA. Our business name is "RV Camping Rental", and our fleet is stored in Chula Vista. Unless we are delivering the rented recreational vehicle to your favorite local RV Resort, you will need to pick up and return it at the storage facility. We have class A and class C motorhomes measuring between 27' to 34' in length, no worries you don't need a special driver license to drive any of our motorhomes. We also have travel trailers measuring between 26' to 40' in length. We offer for your convenience delivery, set up, and pick up to your local RV Resort, residence or event. Please let us know the exact address where you would need it delivered and we will give you the correct delivery fee. Keep in mind that those stationary reservations will have a lower refundable damages deposit. We are flexible with the pick up and return time depending on our availability. Dogs are welcomed on most of our units, but you need to pay the "Dog removal fee" -no exceptions- We look forward to hearing from you, and allow us the opportunity to earn your trust and business for your upcoming RV Rental experience. Thank you, RV Camping Rental Karla Atherton

Unfortunately, our trip was cut short because of the condition of the RV. On June 11, Karla told me that they would deliver the vehicle between 9:00 and 10:30 the following day. She then called me on June 12 at 9:07 and asked what was the latest they could bring the vehicle by. I stated 11:00 and she said she needed until noon. We needed to get on the road as soon as possible, because of the distance and wanting to get there before Grandma went to bed. Upon delivery, my husband noticed that the lady and child delivering the vehicle were not wearing masks or gloves. I was inside and did not see this, but once he told me after they left I was alarmed and it was captured on our Ring video. You can see both exiting the vehicle without gloves and masks. They completed instructions with my husband about the vehicle at around 12:50 pm. We were on a time crunch and threw everything in the RV and were on the road by 2:12 pm. At 2:27, I reached out to Karla stating there was a check engine light on. She responded that it was not a problem. Because we just threw everything in the RV, I started to put stuff away. At 2:38 pm, I sent Karla a messages, "The cabinet above the stove is full of sand, did y'all not wash out the cabinets?" She asked me to send pictures to her email...which I did. I then started to look in the other drawers and noticed that there were dirt and crumbs in most. After inspecting further I saw hand prints and smudges on doors and handles. I sent her pictures and she just insisted that everything was wiped down and sanitized per COVID 19 standards, so I took some videos and sent her, then I didn't hear from her again. We arrived at my Grandmother's house around 8:15 pm. We spent until about 9:30 with her outside. Once returning into the RV we prepared to make the bed and turned on the air-conditioning. Almost immediately after turning on the air, my husband, who has asthma (which is another reason why it is so important for us to be in a place/RV that is sanitized properly), began wheezing and had to take his inhaler. We opened the air-duct and the filter was filthy. We then took the bed and the mattress was dirty and also noticing how dirty the surrounding areas of the bed. At this point we thought it be best to return to San Diego in the morning. We left Tempe at approximately 9:30 am. We had rented the vehicle through Monday, but returned home on Saturday. The owners did not offer any refund other than $45 for spilt salt, which at the time I thought was sand. Several times I had asked about the $125 fee to clean the RV to COVID standards and her response was this, "As explained several times: the Covid-19 process fee is POST-RESERVATION for future customers. We will perform this service as customary due current condition." I guess we needed to pay for others to have the RV to COVID cleaning standards, but we didn't get that privilege. I wanted to ensure that others know about their business practices. This was the first time I have used Outdoorsy, but a very familiar with Airbnb which is a similar concept...so I think this is a unique situation and so far Outdoorsy has been very responsive!

This was the first time renting an RV and we had a wonderful trip!!! The Athertons' provided us with a safe RV along with walking us through the outside and inside workings of this motorhome. There were no questions left unanswered. Karla was hands on with any questions prior to the rental and walked us through every step of the rental process which was greatly appreciated. We highly recommend for first time renters, you will not be disappointed. I can see why they have returning customers. Thank you Karla and Patrick. :)
