My name is Chai (like the tea). I manage all vans on a consignment basis. This means other people own the vans and hire my company to do the fun part of servicing and managing the rentals and host guests like you! I have personally been living the nomadic life off and on for the past 5 years and look forward to sharing my experiences with you and help facilitate your unique van trip to make it the best it can be. Please be patient with our response time. We are not a team of robots nor do we intend to try and compete with the robots. Our priority is to respond promptly to guests that are currently on their trip. I have an 8 year old son who lights up my life! He Loves our van trips and exploring new places with me. I absolutely love exploring the magic of the Earth and all of its variety up close and personal! Vanlife provides that experience for us and I am so grateful for that!

Take pictures of the vehicle on your phone before you leave the lot but please read this whole review! The customer response team at Go Roameo was excellent before and during the trip, I always got a quick reply to any questions. The RV was very clean and performed well for a 3100 mile trip but I did experience a broken water hose that affected the last 3 days of my rental. Unfortunately, this is what led me to leave 3 stars instead of 4 or 5, the company response in consideration of this issue. Apparently the "outbound team" that prepares the vans to be rented next doesn't have very detailed pictures of the condition of the vehicle. When I first approached the vehicle to check it out I noticed heavy scratches on the slider door so I decided to first walk around and document any damage with photos. This allowed me to get a $100 in a credit back (a consideration for the broken water hose) from the company because their photos didn't show any damage. Additionally their team first tried to blame the damage on my dogs, they said that the scratches looked like they came from a dog and they knew I had pets. Really offensive to me as I'm a good & responsible dog owner with 2 well-behaved German Sheps. They may have come from dogs in the past but not mine and thankfully I had the time-stamped photos to prove it. So rather than apologizing ever for the inconvenience of the broken water line, which serves both the domestic tap for the sink and the air purifier/cooler for the unit, they went on the offensive and made me prove it with my time-stamped photos which I thought was poor customer service. I get it, things break and this was a minor inconvenience for me in this scenario, but the inbound team could have chose to react to it professionally. Apologize and work on a credit rather than being defensive and looking to put pre-existing damage on a customer, especially in a "contactless pickup" where an employee isn't inspecting the RV with you. Great vehicle and tech support during the trip, good value, CYA when picking your vehicle up with photos!

Annie was great to work with and was quick to respond to any questions. Instructions on using the van we’re very easy to follow for a first time camper van user. We took the van to national parks in Utah and it made camping easy and fun!

Good communication prior to the rental. Quick replies to questions. It was frustrating that the house battery was completely drained when I picked up. I drove almost 3 hours and it was at 22% when I arrived. I had to run the engine several hours unnecessarily just to keep the battery from draining. I realize the fridge causes a constant drain but the battery should be nearly full on pick up. Water was empty which wasn’t a big deal but with every RV I’ve rented the water was full on pickup. There were some weird screws bolting the lid to the bathroom down. I inquired with customer support but didn’t hear back. I ended up just not using it as I fortunately was at a campground with bathrooms nearby. Overall not a terrible rental but could have been so much better with just a little effort from the rental staff to prepare for pickup.

Overall, I was disappointed with renting the Roameo van. The inverter was problematic because it gave out a low signal alarm that remained on and constant even after the van was charged and should have been good to go. After driving for three hours, the van never got over 77% power, despite a new battery, indicating that the calibration might be off, but we never figured that part out. The fuses were not mounted to the wall but were floating, which we know because we had to flip fuses a couple of times, which are really hard to get to. In addition to all this, the side window leaked in a couple of areas, right onto the counter, which almost ruined an IPad and some electronics that were docked there. When I mentioned this last detail to the Roameo 'help line' they suggested I make sure the door was shut. The door was closed all night and rain was still getting in. Not very helpful when you wake up to your stuff getting wet. Sensors would alert us to the front doors being ajar when they were as shut as we could make them. another note is that they advertised a queen-sized bed that was not a queen. I am 5'6" and both my husband and I slept at an angle. We went with the premium insurance package that had the taste track to a helpline, which we found neither fast nor helpful. I won't be renting from Roameo and would dissuade friends from renting as well.

Awesome experience! This van was equipped with everything needed for a week stay in Colorado! Definitely affordable compared to others listed in the area!
