Extremely Disappointing RV Rental Experience – Would Not RecommendWe rented the 2022 Jayco Greyhawk 29MV RV (which was supposed to sleep 8) for a large family trip to Margaritaville in Orlando with high expectations, but unfortunately, the experience fell far below what was promised. The issues began immediately upon pickup in Homestead (an hour from our home), when the generator stopped working. Carlos, the owner assumed it was flooded and suggested it might work once we drove home. It didn’t. The generator, which powers the rear AC for passengers, was critical for our trip, especially with Florida's heat, all the children and the 4-hour drive that was ahead of us.We contacted Luis and Carlos, who sent a repairman to our home, which was coming from Homestead. He replaced the filter, oil, and spark plug and stated it appeared no prior maintenance had ever been done on this generator. This delayed our trip by 2.5 hours. During the wait, it was pouring outside, but we connected the RV to house for power to clean and stock it ourselves – which was necessary, as the RV was not cleaned properly upon pickup. Even the handles on the cabinets were sticky as if there were young kids on the trip prior to our rental.Even after the repairs, the generator remained incredibly loud, located directly under the driver’s seat, and leaked fumes into the cabin whenever the RV was stationary — making communication and comfort extremely difficult. Needless to say, my wife was not able to take work calls on our way North which set her behind.A significant issue arose with the sleeping arrangements. The RV was advertised as having 8 sleeping spots, which was one of the main reasons we chose this particular RV. However, we found out upon arrival that the sleeper sofa had been replaced with two old chairs mounted on a makeshift frame. We were never informed of this change and Carlos stated it was a previous renter who broke the bed frame. As a result, two of our children had to sleep outside the RV every night — a frustrating and embarrassing situation in front of our group of 45 family and friends. It felt deliberately deceptive and purposeful as they wanted to keep the reservation for the $200 per night.Other notable concerns:
Water Damage: The overhead bunk above the driver leaked from both corners during any type of rain. The mattress, bedding, and pillows were soaked and required us to pull the bedding from the RV to dry them at the local laundry mat. We had to use a pot to catch the water and fix one corner that was missing the rubber seal in the window. Then we discovered moldy, rotten food left under the mattress by previous renters that smelled horrible once disturbed and completely disgusting both my girls who claimed that spot for the weekend. The mattress itself needs to be replaced since we found mold spots on the underside as well.Cleanliness: The RV was filthy and they charged $167.50 for a prep/cleaning fee. Dishes and silverware had dried food stuck to them, and the entire interior needed vacuuming. We also killed 2 large cockroaches on the first and second day which were located in the bathroom. The floor in the bathroom to the right of the toilet was soft and squishy leading me to believe the floor is rotting probably from previous water damage. Lets just say that door remained tightly closed and the bottom of the door was covered with a rug to avoid any escapees.Maintenance Issues:
AC filters were clogged with dust bunnies despite being told they are changed before every rental.
Outdoor speakers didn’t work and produced loud buzzing sound when turned on.Some positives:
The water pressure and hot water in the kitchen and shower were excellent.
When hooked to shore power, the AC worked very well and set up an refreshing environment for evening relaxing.
Window shades helped keep the RV cool.
Included items like an outdoor rug, folding chairs, and an extension cord were appreciated to help with the outdoor seating area.
The RV drove great. Nice and smooth ride.
The serviceman that came to the house to service the generator and get it running was great.Despite reporting these issues to Carlos when the RV was returned at 8pm, he only offered excuses with no follow-up or accountability. Luis did return our $500 deposit on time, but we hoped for compensation due to all the problems we experienced. In conclusion, this RV needs much maintenance and repairs, and the owners needed to be more transparent as it was not accurately represented on the Outdoorsy App. As of 7/10/25 they are still advertising the pullout couch and that it is an 8 sleeper RV. Carlos said he would pass on all the problems we had to Luis and Luis would call us... he never did.We would not rent from this company again.

Plenty of space for the whole family. Big but still easy to maneuver and see the country. Super responsive host with easy instructions and quick answers to my questions.

Luis is a class act with excellent customer service!!! I initially booked a unit through RVshare; however, the owner indicated the unit should not have been booked and cancelled the day before drop off. RVshare did not assist in any way to help rectify the situation or locate another unit. One call to Coast2Coast and Luis went to work.....They will always be my 1st call from now on.

Our family had an incredible time during our 10-day stay at Sunshine Key in the 2022 Jayco Greyhawk. The motorhome not only turned heads with its attractive and modern color but also provided a comfortable and spacious fit for our party of four—two adults and two children. It was a smooth ride on the road and truly felt like a home away from home!

We had a few issues with the Generator that were not the companies fault. They got resolved within 1-3 hours both times! The service could not have been better even though they were handling many other RV rentals that weekend!

Luis was phenomenal! We booked the RV very last minute and requested grill, linens, etc. Even though they ran out of grills he made it happen!

Very disappointing for the price we paid I wasn’t expecting the experience we had . First of all the original Rv I was told I was renting was given to my friend. And I book it first but he mentioned he forgot to book it for me. So my RV wasn’t what I paid for. When we check in there was no inventory done we had for people and was only enough plate. Forks, and knives for 3 we paid for linen package only got 4 towels. fitted sheets for the bed and a comforter. We attempted to cook and wasn’t able to finish it due to them not giving us enough profane. The trailer was super shaky more than usual.we couldn’t sleep most of the time because how bad it was. And the shower keep stopping up after each use. There was no paper towels, toilet paper just to get started. It didn’t feel like any love was put into it to make you feel comfortable and welcome. Also I had the impression that there would be TV in the master bedroom, at least because that’s pretty common in RVs . I should have asked but I wasn’t given a description of that RV I was getting since it was switched at the last minute. I recommend to rent from RV rental site which every thing is disclosed from start including your confirmation

Thank you for your review. I truly apologize you did not feel as if we tried our best to make this a good experience for you. I understand camping is new to you and remember you being a bit upset at the fact that it was extremely hot in the Florida Keys this time of the year.Every single one of these issues was addressed immediately by our staff. The most you had to wait was 30 minutes for the propane only for my tech to find that one tank was still completely full and the solution was simply to switch the selector valve which is very common to have to do while campingWhen advised to do this, you stated both propane tanks were empty which was not accurate information. As far as the Linen Package, We provided all basic necessities for sleeping in comfort as we do in every other reservation. We always encourage our guests that if they have any special requests, to please ask ahead of time as you did with the BBQ Grill.Unfortunately we do not provide paper towels or toilet paper as it is expected for guests to bring these items. All Travel Trailers move while people are in motion within them. That is out of our control and if camping is something you are willing to try again, you will experience the same issue.I take full responsibility and apologized over the inconvenience of double booking your original unit. I can assure you this is an unlikely occurrence and we are taking proper steps to prevent this from happening again.-Management
