We rented this to go up to the mountains to get married and were so excited about this rental. We opted to go with the 2020 because we wanted to have something we wouldn't have issues with since this was such a special trip for us. Unfortunately, we had nothing but issues. When we received the camper, it was in rough shape. When you opened the fridge, it smelled like fish, so much so that while wearing a mask (due to covid) we immediately said something. Once we had the camper we wiped down the fridge with water and vinegar to help the smell and did this a few times, finally we were able to get the fish smell out over 24 hours.A number of things were broken, the fridge door cover, the leaky sink and the heater. This was blamed on the last renter. Unfortunately, we were not aware of the issues with the heater before our rental. We were camping at elevation and the heat not working was a huge issue with lows in the 30s. We reached out about this right away as Patrick asked for our cell phone numbers and told us to reach out to him directly instead of going through Outdoorsy. There was a dent in the bumper which was pointed out to us and to our friend who was with us. We then pointed out an issue near the hitch of two wires that were tied together but were left open. We covered that with electric tape.We attempted to use the oven which was so dirty it actually smoked out the camper and it took us an hour to clean it out. I have a photo of the oven and it is clear why it smoked it out the camper. We tried to set up a time to meet with Patrick when dropping off the RV to talk about all of these issues, but he was not available. So we brought up all these issues via text asking for a partial reimbursement and Patrick asked us to document everything on outdoorsy so they could work with us to get this covered because this was due to previous damage. We are now being charged for damage that was already done to the RV, so, not only are we paying full price for an RV that didn't work but we are now buying a bumper we did not damage. This has been the worst experience for both of us, and agreed multiple times we would have been more comfortable and warmer in a tent. All this aside, WE still had the decency to thoroughly clean the RV both before and after our trip. We took extra measures to take care of the RV in travel and as we used it. In the end we have paid dearly for a really bad experience. We do NOT recommend renting anything from Patrick and if you do, please take video of any issues you see PRIOR to taking possession of the RV as you are checking things out with him or any of his asscociates.
