Horrible experience and wont rent again. Received the RV with less than a half a tank of gas. Rv for sure needed suspension upgrade or new suspension because you could feel every little crack in the roads even on smooth roads. 3 of the passengers in the rv ended up getting sick because of the excessive amount of bouncing around. The ac struggled to cool off the rv. Rv should have had 2 units and if you weren't driving forget about the front ac cooling you off. Had a packet of gel cold medicine that deformed because of the excessive heat in the rv. Had to check the ladies in the family into a hotel because it was so hot in the rv. Needless to say we cut the vacation short because of all the problems and had no concern for all the issues from owner or outdoorsy. Only concern from owner was he said that he wasn't as warm blooded as me so he never noticed issues with the ac or basically he called me fat which I did not care for either. Do not recommend at all. I ended up only getting $50 bucks back for the unused days of rent and no sorry or anything for the issues I had. Outdoorsy sucks and so did this rv. Did not receive a break down of the additional charges from anyone and it stunk. Owners did not know how to operate the oven either so spent a hour trying to figure that out. Pictures on outdoorsy do not reflect current condition of the rv.

Well, for us, this was also bad experience.
We accommodated this renter's last minute request when other owner cancelled on them last moment. Getting RV ready in less than one day was tough but we got it ready. Many renters actually prefer not to have full tank of gas - they obviously can return exactly the same amount. Full tank of gas will add about 500 lb of extra weight. I do not want to have that extra load if not absolutely required.
I recognize that RV's suspension is not as soft as that of a sedan and is built on some bus's chassis. And I cannot be held responsible for Thor manufactures flaws if they decided to design their RV with this kind of suspension. Also, I specifically asked the other renters if the ride was not comfortable and none was complaining about rough ride.
A/C cabin unit installed by Thor manufacturer (15000 BTU by the way) indeed struggles during hot Texas summer, and that is again manufacture's design flaw, not my oversight. In fact, later models apparently have an option for installing second unit. When renter complained about a/c not cooling off RV while parked, we contacted nearest RV repair place to have mobile a/c tech to come out and inspect the unit. A/C mechanic said that there is nothing wrong with a/c, it is putting out 48 F air but it is not sufficient airflow to cool off RV of this size.
Now, complaint from renter came after 10 p.m. and I was on the phone with Lone Star RV people before 8 a.m. next morning (talking about unresponsive host).
Tying together my personal physical ability to stay comfortable at higher temperatures and using term hot/warm blooded has nothing to do with implying that hot blooded people are fat. At my work the skinniest colleague likes colder temperature settings! And I never call people names - that was a made up thing and uncalled for assumption.
As for returning only $50 - totally untrue. I subtracted overages and fees from 50% of unused rental days (1.5 days at $249 plus tax) - that is how the final balance of $55 came up ($399-$344). I refunded $399, not 'fifty bucks'. When releasing renter's security deposit (returned it all) - I itemized every item, to provide so called 'break down' and every fee and mileage and generator hours overage but renter kept saying I returned only $50. Outdoorsy has this in their messaging system, there is a proof.
And yes, we indeed did not know how to turn the oven - we never used while camping! And it certainly did not take an hour to figure out how it operates - after realizing that I do not know where the pilot for the oven is - I went on to explaining how all essential systems operate - toilet, water, electrical hookups, slide, sewer, storage, etc. My wife did find a way to turn that oven after I was done.
The only thing on the pictures that does not reflect the current state of RV is worn upholstery on the upper part of the couch and dinnette.
I know I treat people well and I try my best to accommodate their requests the best I can.
