I brooke the gas burner top glass, a part that is easy to replace and cost 85+ shp and tx.
I offered the owner to pay for it, no problem.
To change the part, I told him, there were 4 screws to deal with, he told me he would look on You tube...
A few days later I received an email from Outdoorsy that the cost is $410.

Michel, I understand it may seem like a simple fix, and I know you had good intentions in offering to pay and even suggesting how it could be replaced. However, as the owner, I have to ensure that repairs are done safely and correctly, especially when it involves gas appliances in a rental unit. What might look like a straightforward fix can carry liability risks if not handled professionally.
The $410 quote wasn’t just for the part—it included the labor, professional handling, and ensuring everything is safe and up to standard. I agree that it’s not cheap, and I didn’t expect you to cover the full amount without question. I just wanted to go through the proper channels to handle it responsibly.
I didn't respond to your $150 offer right away because I was waiting for clarification from Outdoorsy, who ultimately stepped in and offered a resolution. I’m glad they were helpful and that you were satisfied with their support—that’s important to me too.
