Unforgettable Yukon & Alaska Adventure!
We rented two truck campers from Simon through Outdoorsy for a bucket-list trip with my wife, our two children, and my parents, and the experience was outstanding from start to finish.
We set out to complete the Golden Circle from Whitehorse to Skagway, but an unexpected landslide changed our plans near the end of the trip. Despite circumstances completely outside anyone's control, Simon was fantastic. He patiently answered all of our questions, was incredibly responsive, and remained flexible as we adapted our itinerary.
The trucks and campers performed flawlessly throughout the journey. Everything worked exactly as expected and came equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable and stress-free adventure.
What followed was an unforgettable experience. We saw bears, bald eagles, glaciers, waterfalls, and some of the most spectacular scenery we've ever encountered. Because of the landslide, we ended up taking the Skagway ferry both ways, which allowed us to experience the route both clockwise and counter-clockwise. While not part of the original plan, it turned into a unique opportunity to see even more of this incredible region.
One of the highlights was the breathtaking drive from Haines to Haines Junction, easily one of the most beautiful stretches of road any of us have ever travelled. Along the way, we stayed at amazing locations including Million Dollar Falls and Pine Lake, making memories we'll talk about for years.
Simon was a wonderful host throughout the entire experience. His communication, flexibility, and commitment to ensuring we had a great trip were greatly appreciated.
