Great first experience on an RV rental trip

2At first sight, the RV was not clean and was full of flies. Dead and alive. Raj had a very reasonable explanation for the flies but seemed to think the RV was clean. The overall appearance was not helped by the duct tape, stained/ripped seat covers, sticky oven pull, and filthy throw pillows. So, the flies amongst all of this was just gross. We dry camped for this trip. This RV is not equipped for dry camping, despite that being explicit in our request; and multiple communications back and forth attempting to clarify what we could expect to have working. We were not notified that essentially nothing would work until the day we picked it up. Most importantly for us was the unusable refrigerator. From here, let’s just do some pros and cons Pros: -Raj and Vinay are very nice, responsive, and easy to work with. We had some difficultly getting the RV through the storage gate and Vinay was very patient and helped us work through it -If you drive and load your own car, there is parking spot available for you to leave your vehicle -There is a RV park not far from the pick up site that is easy to dump grey/dark water -The RV drives well and did not have mechanical issues -The generator worked great and we had air conditioning which was very appreciated Cons: -You will pick up the RV dry. So if you do not plan to stay where there is water you will need to do this at the beginning of your trip -The storage unit pick up/drop off is cumbersome. Logistically getting in and out as well as the stress of being in other renters way -Supplies are scarce. We were told there was a broom and a vacuum and there was not. -The RV stinks on hot days. We thought of many reasons this could be, all of which could have been situational (where we were, the fact that it was so hot, we had little water or waste in the tank-who knows) but it was GROSS -No working leveling blocks. They were cracked and since they were plastic, did not work. You would need more than that anyway -The vent in the bathroom would not close and the fan did not work. We had to climb up the RV to shut it before we left -NO USABLE GLOVES FOR EMPTYING the RV. We were told they had some and the ones offered were wet and disgusting. We had to purchase our own gloves which we did leave with the RV Overall if you had hook ups, this would likely be a different experience. However, our frustrations seemed to multiply making this less than a stellar trip.

5Very responsive hosts. They took extra time to walk me through the RV as it was my first time and explained everything in detail. Everything was in working order and inside RV was clean. I would rent from them again.
