Frequently asked questions
Q.
Why is there a pet fee?
R.
Pets who shed and track in dirt create extra cleaning for us - especially if they were on the bed or rug. We LOVE pets and hated to add this fee, but we got the van back one too many times with pet hair all over it.
Q.
Does your van have a/c when it's parked? No? How on EARTH do you stay cool?
R.
Thanks for asking! I'll preface this by saying I am a typical male when it comes to sleeping - I like it COLD. I, too, was worried about this, but I've been in Florida in the Summertime and slept great. The key is the overhead boat hatch above the bed and the roof fan. Simply crack the boat hatch and turn the fan on exhaust (air blowing out). This will pull air in from outside, over your head and out the fan, creating a wonderful cross breeze.
Q.
Does your van have heat when it's parked? No? How on EARTH do you stay warm?
R.
We have a little propane heater that does a fantastic job heating the van. My wife and I have been to Niagara Falls in the Wintertime, and while I can't say we were toasty all night long, we were warm most of the night - it's glamping after all! We include a couple propane canisters that will last ≈5hrs, and additional ones can be purchased easily (Walmart, Target, any camping store) for $3 each. And a really good sleeping bag helps too!
Q.
Where do I park when I pick-up? Can I leave my vehicle at your place?
R.
You may certainly park your car at our house, no problem!
