RecommandationsWe made a trip to Northern Idaho this summer for a family reunion what a blast we had.Your turn how about this:
With winter coming on you need to make sure you have lots of warm clothes. Going to the beach is always a great idea from Astoria to Crescent City speaking of Crescent City you are just 22 miles from the Trees of Mystery and the massive Redwoods.
It's all about what you want:
In a motor home, you can go and do what you want and when you want to because you don't have to rent a motel room or be any place at a certain time. Take that trip you've always wanted to in my RV you'll love every minute of it.
Our Mounts:
In the Great Pacific Northwest, you can be out in mother nature in a matter of hours. There are many places to travel Mt. St Helen's which blew her top in 1980 is an educational experience of its own. Then down the road, either way, you can go to Mt Hood which is in Oregon or going North you can go to Mt. Rainier which is stunning. Either way, there are tons of camping sites.
Off the beaten path road trip:
But if you feel adventurous take your trip down or up I-5 and exit at Woodland, Washington go east up the Lewis River and behold breathtaking views of the area.
Don't forget the camera:
Keep the camera out because you're going to see wildlife along the way and views that will be breath taking.
When you get tired:
If you get liking the trip and want to stay someplace along the way there's Cougar RV park, Cougar Park & Campground, Beaver Bay Campground and some others, but make sure you check with them for availability.
On the way again past a historic site and Earth Dam:
As you stay on the Lewis River you will go past Swift Reservoir which is home to Swift dam the construction on this dam was finished in 1958 it is an earth-type hydroelectric dam on the Lewis River. Follow the signs to Packwood/hwy 12 and this will take you on the east side of Mt St Helen's make sure to take time and enjoy its beauty.
Once your on Hwy 12:
If you want to camp in the area once you get to Hwy 12 and head east you'll find all kinds of RV camping great thing is you'll be close to Mt Rainier and you can visit the park. There is an RV campground called Hatchery RV again call for availability.
On the road again:
Going over Hwy 12 You'll come into Eastern Washington and the town of Naches and then in Yakima from there you can go down to I-82 south.
That special turn:
When you get to Hwy 97 you'll be going through Toppenish, The Yakima Indian Reservation. Your also going to go into the Gifford Pinchot National Forest.
Once last chance to camp:
I the Gifford Pichot National forest you will come to Brooks Memorial State Park where you can stay for your final night and breath in that mountain air. Again call before you get there.
Almost done with the trip:
Well, we're almost done you'll come to Goldendale and a few miles past that you will have an option what to do. Do I want to take scenic Hwy 14 on the Washington side or take the Sam Hill memorial bridge to Biggs Junction and get on I-84 to come home. Whichever you chose you can't go wrong absolutely beautiful no matter which way you go. Have fun you will have if you take this trip.
Final thought:
If you take this trip let me know what you thought this was my trip as a boy that I never forgot and love to share with others. I wish you safe journey on your trip and I hope you enjoy every minute of it! Want to see what you'll get here's a youtube video of my home. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dYaEM1P_z6s&t=42s
Autres points à signalerPlease keep your Pets under control:
I'd love to have you take your pets with you, but please remember they need to be good I try and keep my home clean and in great shape for you to enjoy as much as we have.
A friend is a stranger you haven't met yet!:
We like to look for the good in everyone and I hope trust is taken well by all. I just want you and your family to enjoy the weekend or the week traveling and seeing what a great country you live in.
Let's have some fun:
Don't forget to bring a basketball, baseball and a couple gloves, soccer ball, or any out door games.
Do it now before they grow and are gone:
Love your family and let them know how much you care life is to short to worry all the time about work, so let you hair down turn off the cell phone and go for it!!! RVing is like nothing you have ever done before relax and enjoy!
Happy RVing!!!!
