https://youtu.be/OhxsdVbfydwElectricity, Heating, & Cooling
• Solar power instead of a propane tank or loud generator! This van makes electricity with solar panels (525 watts) on the roof and a big bank of batteries as well as a 3000-watt inverter. This provides power for inside lighting, fans, USB ports, and the refrigerator/freezer. The batteries store enough electricity to cook at least 3-4 meals for a family of 5 before recharging (by driving or via solar).
• Optional shore power plug
• Phone charging plugs throughout the van
• AC plugs for charging computers, Cpap machines, and an induction stove
• Two roof fans and wool insulation keep the van cool in summer
• Two internal fans for lower bed sleeping area
• An auxiliary cabin heater keeps the van warm for 4 season camping. (We sleep in the van even when it's 10 degrees F outside!)Here's a short video on how to use the electric system

Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
R.
We live near the South Bend airport and Amtrak station. Willing to meet renters at either of these locations for drop-off or pick-up.
Q.Are there any special tricks and tips that would help with operating the RV easily?
R.
A complete manual of all features is above the passenger sun visor to answer any questions for the van that you can think of. (Really)
Q.How do the electric, water and sewage hook up work while setting up at the campground?
R.
Casper is fully contained. With a 25 gallon tank that is easy to fill with the included garden hose, there is no need to be connected at an RV site for water. With 300ah of battery power, there is no need for an electrical hook-up, but if you are running low there is a plug attached to the inverter that can be plugged in at a 110 RV site. The composting toilet means not having to connect to sewage, but you will have to empty the pee bin occasionally.
Q.Do you have a video that shows where things are and how to pack?
R.
Yes! Checkout our YouTube Channel for all our "How To" videos. Here's the link to the video showing where things are and how to pack.
