2022 Winnebago Solis
2022 Winnebago Solis 59P campervan, a fully featured camper that is relatively pleasant to drive, and fits in a parking spot.
- pop top on roof gives additional sleeping area with great view
- compact full kitchen with two burner stove, sink with hot and cold water, countertop space, cabinets, refrigerator
- bathroom with door for privacy, flush cassette toilet, shower. (Much better to have an on board bathroom then walking to a campground bathroom at 2am)
- 2nd row seats with seatbelts and a table that can work as a mobile office or a dining area
- 3rd row bench has two seat belts during the day, but lies flat at night to convert into a queen bed
- Luno air mattress goes over driver/passenger seat for an additional sleeping spot
- blackout window shades zip the windows closed in a minute for privacy. Windshield has light blocking panels
- touch screen stereo with Android Auto / Apple CarPlay
- Onboard thermostat lets you set the furnace heat temperature and have hot waterUpgrades/mods over a stock 2022 Winnebago Solis include:
- Replaced the stock basic bluetooth stereo with a new stereo that has Android Auto and Apple Carplay.
- Replaced the stock stiff/spongy mattress in the pop-top that gives you a sore back with an air mattress that is more comfortable than my bed at home. Always a great night sleep. By being an air mattress that you can deflate while driving, this allows you to store some of the bedding in the pop top, saving you precious cargo space.
- Luno air mattress for the front seat, suitable for a kid or shorter adult to sleep comfortably across on the front seats.
- Added a spare tire, mounted under the van, out of sight, out of mind, but still peace of mind.
- Rear cargo netting above the sofa, makes it easy to pack away blankets.
- Rear shoe organizers are mounted on the rear doors, which give 10 storage compartments. You don't want all your shoes stacked by the side door, so instead you can store you extra shoes on the back doors, and keep your active shoes on your feet.Ce qui est inclusBedding (sheets, blankets, pillows)
Kitchenware (pot, pan, cooking utensils, cutlery, plates, bowls, coffee mugs)RecommandationsCuyahoga Valley National Park has tons of hiking and biking. I particularly love the Ledges Trail. You hike alongside the massive sandstone ledges, and feel the power of the awesomeness of nature. There are two ski resorts in CVNP. I am planning on overnighting in the ski resort parking lot in the van, and skiing each day.East Harbor State Park, 1 hour west, is a wonderful beach along the shores of Lake Erie. Great for beaching and paddle boarding in the summer. Cedar Point, America's Roller Coast, is close to East Harbor. The Smokey Mountains are about 8 hours south, it could be a great road trip. Shenandoah National Park is about 6 hours south east. Autres points à signalerWe love our van, and we hope you get to have a great experience with it. Please be respectful, and contact us if you have any issues, we’re happy to help. The van height is 9.5 feet, so no drive-thrus. Always ensure the pop-top is closed and latched before driving. If using campground hookups, make sure to disconnect power/water/sewer, and store them away before driving. If cold weather is expected, van water system will be drained and winterized, meaning no running water (to protect against pipes freezing), instead can use jugs of water.

We love traveling in our campervan, and wanted to make it easier for others to get out on their own their own adventures. There are many National Parks and State Parks for exploring and camping. Whether you are biking down rugged trails, hiking up scenic peaks, or just looking a great basecamp to stay warm and dry, and enjoy a cold drink and a warm meal, we want our van to be there for your next adventure.

Our first RV trip in 25 years - we were a little skeptical about whether or not it was for us - 3 nights at 2 state parks and we loved it…. Peter is great people - would definitely rent from him again!

Amazing all around. From the van to the host, it was quite an experience. Definitely would recommend to anyone who is interested in renting. Van is super clean and very spacious for what it is. Drives smoothly and the beds are comfortable. Peter was such an amazing person to meet and get to know. Hooked us up with everything we needed and showed us how to work everything. If I ever take a trip back to Ohio, I definitely where I’m looking to rent first! Well worth every penny!

I am a seasoned camper but this is the frst time I have camped in an RV, The RV was fantastic. Sleeping was great and I loved being able to make my morning coffee without getting dressed. I got great directiion from my host and plan on renting from him again next year.
My trip was our annual family campout. I have just been spending the day but this year I decided to rent an RV and spend the entire campout with my children and grand-children. It was the best decision I made. Thanks Outdoorsy for making the rental process so easy.

Peter was a great host and provided us everything we needed to have a great trip! He supplied dish/hand soaps, cookware, plates/utensils, paper products, and some basic spices. The jet boil for coffee turned into a lifesaver! Peter was very responsive and helpful whenever we reached out with questions. Would highly recommend!

Thanks Amanda! I know it was such a hot week during your trip, but I'm glad you were able to make the most of it. It sounds like you were still able to have a good trip (after finding shade). Thanks for the messaging during your trip, its much easier to answer with a text, and quick explainer, then not knowing how something works. I'll also put together a getting-started-guide and some videos, just to make it easier to learn how features of the van work ahead of time. It was great to meet you.

Q.Does the van have a spare tire?
R.
Yes, there is a full size spare tire stowed under the rear of the van, held in place my a hoist. To lower the tire, retrieve the spare tire jack handle from under the middle row seats, under the black tray, and in a bag tucked away. Insert the 5 sided bar into a hoist hole behind the rear passenger tire. Use the tire iron to rotate the bar. There is a jack to lift the van. There is a tire inflator. Tire slime. Tire patch kit. Also, call/text me or Outdoorsy Roadside Assistance.
Q.How does the sofa turn into a bed?
R.
The 3rd row sofa will fold flat into a full sized bed. Standing by the sink, facing the sofa. Give a slight tug, and hold, to the strap under the sofa to release a lock, then lift up the bottom of the couch, and pull towards you, and the sofa converts into a bed. Lift up the wooden tray on the back doors of the van to add additional surface, and put the extra pad over that. Add the included sheet, and your pillows/blankets, and your ready for bed. To fold the bed, lift and pull, its tricky.
Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
R.
The default pickup time in Outdoorsy is 3p, and the default dropoff/return time is 11am. Feel free to message me, and if the van is available before/after, and my schedule allows, I can generally adjust to better times. Nobody likes arriving to a campground in the dark. Also if there's something unforeseen, like a snowstorm, absolutely err on the side of safety. Message me and we'll figure it out.
Q.How do you connect to electric, what about the solar panel and batteries?
R.
If you drive each day, you likely won't have to plug in at all. The "house batteries" get recharged by the alternator while you drive. The solar panel on the roof adds extra power. The batteries last several days of non-driving and partial shade before you'll need to worry about power. To connect, use the included power cable and connect to campground 30 amp power, or use the dongle to use household plugs too. Match L shaped prong on cable and van, quarter turn, then rotate the locking collar.
