4Ultimately, the trip went well. The owners were very nice and easy to work with. I am concerned that I was misled by the amenities listed on your website. It listed among a lot of other things a store and oven. Showed pictures as well. Once I got to the site, I tried to use the stove, but could not get it to light. I contacted the owners and they said that propane was "An Add On". That does not seem right. I understand the concept of returning the RV with as much propane as I left with, but to have no propane is not the standard practice of other rentals. As we were checking the rig out the owner made sure we had pans, which doesn't make sense if I couldn't use the stove. The owner mentioned that I could go have the tank filled. Unfortunately, I had already leveled the rig, extended the pop-outs, and unloaded my things. To reverse that process would have been completely inconventiant and difficult, not to mention the need to find a location and person to fill the permanently attached propane tank. It is somewhat like saying in the ad that there are recliners on the rig, but you need to pay for "An Add On" to use them. I made due by buying a cast iron pan ($65) that I could use directly on the small Smokie-Joe BBQ we brought, but most of the food we brought went unused due to cooking everything outside at the same time. Also, I typically bring a propane stove tea kettle but this time I changed my plans and brought an electric tea kettle at the last minute. I would have been VERY lost without my coffee in the morning (WOW - you might be able to relate? Hahahaha! Dodged a bullet on that one! ). I do believe that the website should be corrected and made clear that the use of the stove and oven are extra. For the price I paid ($1600+) for the rental, I believe it should have been included or made very clear that it was extra. Or possibly, did the owners forget to fill the tank and then just claim it was an add on? Thank you for letting my voice be heard and the note be made. If I need to go into the review section and copy this over somewhere else, I will. Just please let me know. Just to make it perfectly clear, the rest of the process of renting the RV from Outdoorsy was easy and the rig and owners were very nice. I used Outdoorsy for the first time on this rig as did the friends we met at the site. I would appreciate someone responding to me if this is the standard practice and if I should consider this in the future. Thank you very much.
