🚙 Driving & Safety Rules * Drive defensively and obey all posted speed limits. The RV handles differently than a car and needs extra stopping distance. * No speeding — please keep speeds at a safe level for road and weather conditions *65 MPH is the sweet spot for highway driving. You are driving an entire house, essentially, no need to go fast. * No texting or handheld phone use while driving. * No driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or anything impairing. 🛣️ RV Handling * Remember the RV height and length. Check clearances before entering: * Low bridges * Tree-covered roads * Gas stations with low canopies * Take wide turns and watch the rear swing. * Use extra caution backing up — a spotter is strongly recommended. * Avoid rough roads, off-roading, sand, beaches, and unmaintained roads unless approved. ⛽ Fuel & Fluids * Return the RV with the same fuel level you took it with * Only use unleaded gas * Keep an eye on dashboard warning lights and gauges. * Notify us immediately if any warning lights appear or anything feels unsafe. 🌧️ Weather & Conditions * Do not drive in unsafe weather conditions when possible (high winds, flooding, severe storms). * Slow down in rain — RVs are more prone to hydroplaning due to weight. 🔧 Before Moving the RV Checklist Before leaving any stop: ☐ Retract awning ☐ Retract steps ☐ Secure shower door, bedroom door, fridge/freezer, cabinets and loose items ☐ Close windows/vents ☐ Disconnect power/water/sewer ☐ Check tires and walk around the RV ☐Make sure all storage bay doors on the outside are shut and latched
