Provides thorough support & resources
Jason offers detailed guides with videos, responsive communication, and in-person walkthroughs. He also provides thoughtful extras like airport pickup and a well-stocked van.
Smooth driving, fully-equipped van
The Nissan NV is comfortable and drives smoothly, ideal for trips. It includes a projector, sunroof, kitchen, and solar setup. One guest reported a jammed back door and noted WiFi was absent despite the guide.

5.0While the van is old and rough around the edges, it runs great and has no issues hitting freeway speeds or climbing big hills. Jason has crafted a lot of details inside the van that make using everything safe and easy. The fridge has a decent capacity and the pullout cooler style works really well in the van. At 24ft long and 10ft of clearance, there's not too many places you can't go. It rides pretty smoothly as well. The bed is comfortable and decent room for two people, although if you're much over 6ft it might be a little tricky fitting you and someone else in it comfortably. The induction stove is great and having the Foreman grill is a nice quick option if you're not looking for full fledged kitchen cooking. Plenty of fresh water capacity with the two 7 gallon tanks and they're pretty easy to switch out. Draining the gray water is pretty easy too, just be mindful of regulations where you do it, you may have to collect it and dump it somewhere besides right on the ground by the van. Jason also provides an extensive users manual that is handy for figuring out where all the things are and how to operate anything that isn't intuitive. Plenty of storage capacity with the overhead cabinets, sink cabinets, and space underneath the bed. We'll definitely look for this van if we plan another van trip from Portland!

4.0We really enjoyed the experience and the RV had pretty much everything we could want. Jason was a good host and provided a super helpful guide that we referred to all the time. Our only bumps in the road were that the back door was jammed and we had to do a call with jason to figure it out, and we never were able to fix it but had to crawl under the bed to manually release the lock each time. Also the guide has a big section on wifi which we were excited about, but when it didn’t work we asked Jason about and said there wasn’t any wifi and seemed surprised that it was in the guide. So that was strange but neither of those had a big impact on our trip.

5.0This van has everything you could want and more. Jason has put thoughtful detail into the equipment that comes with the van e.g., rumple blanket, headlamp, wine key, extra cables, etc. Plenty of room for two people and our collie. The directions for how to operate and use the amenities for the van are fool-proof and the pick-up/drop-off process was a piece of cake. I would rent from Jason again in a heartbeat.

5.0Jason is a very responsive host. He answered all our questions and his van was set up very well. The most helpful thing that Jason offers is his a manual to his van, which uses pictures and videos to help you operate and even trouble shoot problems. We printed it before leaving home and it made our getting to know the van very easy. Everything in the van functioned as advertised, and was a very practical rental. We enjoyed our trip, and the use of the van. Thank you, Jason.

Foire aux questions
Q.
Are pets allowed?
R.
Pets are welcome! Please note there are dangerous spots a pet can crawl into though, like the battery box.
Q.
How big is the van?
R.
The height of the van is about 10' and the length is 24' with the bike rack. Sadly, that means no drive thrus and avoid low-hanging branches!
Q.
What sort of gas does it use and what is the gas mileage?
R.
The van uses regular 87 octane gas (NO DIESEL). Gas mileage averages around 13-14 mpg with a light foot (55-60 mph freeway speeds) and 11-12 mpg without. Please refill the fuel tank before returning the van.
Q.
Can I take it off-road?
R.
The NV sports large LT265/70/17 all-terrain tires and 8" of ground clearance. It's certainly capable of going up and down rough dirt/forest roads, but keep in mind it weighs over 4 tons, is RWD only, and has open differentials. Use your best judgement and know your limits! Rough roads means an even rougher ride, and I strongly discourage attempting sandy terrain, deep ruts, or anything marked as a 4x4 road.
