Inconsistent communication and service
The owner canceled a booking last-minute, ignored multiple messages/calls for drop-off, and was unavailable for scheduled returns, leading to significant stress for some renters. While some found communication good, others experienced unresponsiveness.

5.0Fantastic experience! Fun rig, great host. Good communication and easy pickup and dropoff. Easy to drive and very comfortable. Even though it rained, we had a good time in this well furnished van.

2.0The van got us where we needed to go, but poor maintenance and a disorganized check out make this rental far more stressful than expected. Vehicle Issues: EXPIRED REGISTRATION: Registration had expired, meaning it was not legal to drive in NY. The owner promised to send a pic of a renewal but never did. Basic Upkeep: We had to replace both key fob batteries, refill the windshield washer fluid and the engine was low a full quart of oil. Kitchen Fan Lid was broken- making the van extremely hot on the drive. The owner knew about it and had previously duct-taped, however we had to stop and re-tape it so it would not fly off on the highway. Mechanical Quirks- a loose seat fuse prevented adjusting the driver seat and the van went into limp mode 3 hours into our trip- both issues resolved ,but stressful. Drop off was equally frustrating. I messaged owner 3 times over 2 days with zero response. We arrived at 3PM as he set, he was not home and ignored our calls. We sat in the hot driveway for over an hour and contacted Outdoorsy support. Someone sleeping inside finally answered the door to take the keys. No apology was offered, and we were charged for being slightly over miles.
