Résumé de l'évaluation
Highly communicative and accommodating
Guests frequently highlighted Jesse's responsiveness, kindness, and flexible handling of pick-up/drop-off. A refund was offered for a major issue, but the van's pre-rental check missed a contaminated water tank and non-working heater.
Drives well, top-notch build
Praised for easy driving, good gas mileage, and comfortable sleeping for tall guests. It has extensive amenities, but a renter experienced a non-functional heater, battery issues, and a contaminated freshwater tank from a previous rental.

3.0My partner and I rented this camper van for a week to explore Arizona, and while we did have a good time, there were several issues we encountered and were forced to contend with, which definitely put a damper on the trip. One smaller thing to note was that based on the reviews we had expected it to be much better outfitted than it turned out to be. The contents really seem to be a compilation of very random items previous guests have found essential, while many of the basic necessities were missing. (For example, we found ourselves with 3 pairs of scissors, but no hand/dish soap.) Our biggest issue with this van was that it very obviously had not been thoroughly checked prior to our rental. The heater didn't work, which was unfortunate because the desert gets pretty cold at night. Our primary concern, however, was the fact that the previous tenants had accidentally filled the fresh water tank with gasoline, and proper steps were not taken to remedy this. Even after we took it upon ourselves to flush it out, our water smelled and tasted like gas for the entire trip. We were obviously reluctant to use it, which made doing things like cooking and even washing up before bed a real chore. After speaking with other campers/RVers during our trip and doing our own research, it became quite clear that the host should have changed out the water tank entirely; flushing it even with a solution of vinegar or soap will likely not remove the gasoline since it is so corrosive. The host offered us a $250 refund for our troubles, which was considerate, but in retrospect it feels like a pretty paltry amount in light of the inconvenience and health concerns we were exposed to. For anyone renting this camper in the future, I'd suggest you confirm that there is a new freshwater tank, and maybe even test out the sink water before your trip begins.

5.0Jesse was very communicative and the vehicle was well equipped. We had a good experience generally. With the addition of detailed instructions on how to stop the battery system from failing our trip would have been great. Spyglass Phil drives really well and the layout internally works well.
