Kirby is an open concept High roof (I'm 6'1 and no ducking needed), extended camper van. He's spacious and gives a log cabin type feel. The van is designed to be super stealthy and inside it has hardwood floors, lots of storage and a Bench dinette bed set-up with a 3inch molecule topper for super comfortable sleep. He has solar and alternator charging for plenty of battery and has a massive head unit for GPS and watching movies. Also a kitchenette and an induction camper stove. The kitchenette has a 6 gallon faucet for water for washing hands.I'm still working through the build and making upgrades but have run tight on funds. Here are the planned updates THE VAN Does NOT Currently have this:
1) adding a standing 22×22×22 shower
2) installing the maxxair vent fanSuper important: outdoorsy does not provide insurance for NY state vehicles at the moment. As such, please have full comprehensive insurance ready prior to booking. If you need to be on my insurance it will be an additional $35/day and it will be liability only with a $1k deductible (the deductible and fixing the van will have to be out of your pocket).No bathroom or shower.Dogs and beach trips subject to a cleaning fee unless previously discussed. Insulated all around and has privacy reflectix for all windows.
Electric: a ton of solar and battery power to run pretty much any 12volt appliance. It's got 340ah of lithium ion batteries.
Kitchen: Induction stove and a Coleman camping stove; 12 volt 30 quart fridge, 5 gallon jug for drinking water, 6 gallon jug of fresh water for rinsing in the sink with a hand pump.I can pre fill the water for you but everything should be returned with no water and the gray water emptied as well.No bathroom or shower.Option to rent:
1. Two accordion style camping stools: $5/day for both
2. Two camping chairs: $10/day for both
3. Champion generator: $50/day for 4hrs of use per night
4. 2 bike rack to attach to receiver in rear: $15/day
5. 4 bike rack to attach to receiver: $20/day
6. 12 volt fridge: $10/day
7. Ice box: Free!
RecommandationsMontauk, Letchworth, Shenandoah, Nashville and Acadia have been some of my favorite trips. There is free camping (just need to get a free permit) at Delaware state forest as well among other places. Happy to give you some tips.
