Its a device installed factory or after market to synchronize the pressure of the brakes on tow vehicle and camper. If you bought a vehicle that has a tow package, it should have factory installed brake control. Its Very important to have brake control. Best place to install brake control if you don't have one is a U HALL- In bigger city's there is always one that offers that service. Call first to find out witch location is doing it. They also install towing hitches
