This was my second rental from Amy for our annual Halloween trip, and both experiences involved issues. Last year, there was a leak near the top bunk. Thankfully, my daughter stayed dry. This year, I was told at pickup that the slide had issues opening and could take an hour to get working. At our destination, it took about an hour of troubleshooting before it finally opened. On Sunday, the slide again wouldn't close, and I also had trouble emptying the tanks, delaying our departure. Amy had agreed that a later Sunday return was fine since the camper wasn't booked. She texted that there was no hurry, agreed to my estimated return time, and acknowledged my update before I left. Despite this, she charged me a $50 late fee while I was already on the road. The equipment issues contributed to the delay, making the fee especially frustrating. I understand mechanical problems can happen, but recurring issues across both rentals raise concerns about the camper's maintenance and reliability.
