The Great Outdoors
When you rent an RV in Dover, you’ll be in the perfect position to explore both your natural surroundings and the big city, with civilization to the east and wilderness to the west. There are a lot of parks to visit; one possibility is the Wildcat Ridge Wildlife Management Area. With over 500 acres to explore with numerous trails, there's plenty of wildlife to snap pictures of, including falcons. There are acres of untouched forest, ideal if you're looking to hike in the shade on a hot day. One of the unique points of the park is the abandoned Hibernia Mine, now home to over 20,000 brown bats.
RV Parks
Being so close to Newark, there's no shortage of places to park when you rent an RV in Dover. One nearby option is the Mahlon Dickerson Reservation in Jefferson. The small campground on site offers roughly 15 paved sites which have partial hookups with 20, 30, or 50 amp electricity. This campground is located within Rockaway River State Wildlife Management Area, so if you chose to stay here, you'd have the great outdoors right on your doorstep. The campground is open seasonally between April and November.

Since Dover is a relatively large place, everything you'd need is available in the city. Newark is also about half an hour’s drive from Dover and has even more to see when you rent an RV. Visitors can explore Newark and New York, giving them access to delightful restaurants and some of the best shopping in the country.
