Responsive, flexible, inconsistent handover
Alan quickly communicates, is flexible for last-minute requests, and offers support during rental. However, pickup often involves an unprepared son, leading to missing equipment and broken promises on charges.
Unsafe towing due to brake issues
Though some found it spacious and comfortable, multiple safety hazards like faulty braking assist, inoperative CO/smoke detectors, and a broken breakaway cable make towing unsafe. Extreme uncleanliness, pests, non-functional heat, and missing amenities were also reported.

5.0Overall a great experience. We found out the morning of departure a previously rented trailer was no longer available. After placing a new rental request, Alan saved the day. We were able to pick up the trailer in record time and continue our vacation. After picking up the trailer with minimal notice, everything we needed was present. Alan was very easy to communicate with and flexible on timelines. Overall, a great rental that is perfect for families

5.0The RV was exactly as promissed - Alan made the pick up and delivery super easy and convenient which I really appreciated. We had plenty of room for all 5 of us in the trailer, the AC kept us cool on the hot days of eastern washington in August, and we enjoyed the extra games and colored pencils in there too. Mostly, Alan was great about messaging back and answering any/all questions we had before/after the rental. Such a great time, will be looking to see what next summer looks like so we can rent again!

5.0Alan was absolutely amazing to work with! Communication was outstanding and when questions came up, I could count on a quick response. Would definitely rent from this owner again!

2.0Where do I begin... a picture is worth a thousand words, so please see attached photos. In short, this must have been the worst rental experience I've ever encountered in my 30+ years of adulthood. This listing should be entitled "Trashed, disgusting death trap". Because of the following serious cleanliness, safety and functional issues... 1- the owner wasn't at pickup; he delegated the task to his teenage son, who had little interest in, or knowledge of, the transaction. He basically gave me the keys and said good luck. A weight distribution hitch was supposed to be provided but was not. Nothing I could do but take it as-is since the pickup was on the way to our destination. 2- I would assume that basic safety protocols should have to be met in order to allow someone to rent out a unit on your platform, similar to what's required for an Uber vehicle/driver. Things like the CO detector being inoperative (bare wires exposed and detached), the smoke detector being broken, or the emergency trailer break away cable being broken, frayed and unable to be attached should immediately disqualify a unit from being rented for obvious safety reasons. The trailer, in that condition, is not road worthy. I also had issues with the braking assist system becoming inoperative multiple times during the trip, which makes towing a 30 foot trailer extremely dangerous. I had my wife and 2 kids with me and I'm extremely upset that I was put in that situation. 3- cleanliness was laughable. Absolutely ZERO pre-trip cleaning was done by the owner, which is funny since he actually charges a $10 "pre-trip cleaning and sanitizing" fee. You can see in the photos that moldy food was left in the microwave, a smelly, slimy mess in the freezer, cobwebs in the bathroom, and pubic hairs in the shower. Just disgusting. The holding tanks also weren't emptied by the previous renter (or the owner upon return), so the trailer had an unpleasant odor for the duration of the trip, not to mention that we had to closely monitor our use of the bathroom so as not to overfill the black water tank. Didn't find this out until after we were already unhooked at our site. 4- We are in Washington, so it gets in the mid-40's at night, even in the summer. That's fine if the heat works in the trailer, which it did NOT. That REALLY SUCKS with 2 elementary age kids and a disabled wife with you. Good thing we packed extra blankets. 5- lastly, every drawer and cubby in the trailer was FULL of junk! Old, mismatched plastic dishes, random pots and pans, and just a complete unorganized mishmash of crap. It was like living in a hoarder's home. In fact, the only thing that was supposed to be included according to the listing- bed linens- WASN'T. We couldn't use the cabinets, drawers or shelves for our own things, or the shower or microwave (cleanliness), or the tv (missing remote), or the heat.... and the malfunctioning brake assist on the trailer made the drive home a huge stress inducing nightmare. For the safety of your subscribers and clients, this unit should not be allowed to be rented out until, at the very least, the major road safety issues are fixed. Someone with less driving experience (I have a commercial drivers license) could be seriously injured or worse. And what would the headline be if a family died of asphyxiation because the CO detector was obviously inoperative? I would be completely embarrassed if I were the owner of this trailer and actually took someone's money to rent it out. In summary, for the reasons above I am requesting a full refund/ future credit for this trip. Despite ALL of the issues we faced with this particular rental, my kids had a great time at Deception Pass State Park, and we want to do more of these activities in the future as current renters and possibly future owners of an RV. Thank you for your consideration, and please, I beg you, take this trailer off the road until it gets fixed.

5.0Alan was an amazing host. He helped my girlfriend and I out last minute to get into his trailer so we could enjoy camping without getting wet in the big rainstorm that hit. The trailer was in very good shape, comfortable, and was plenty big enough for the gf, myself and her son. No complaints at all.
