Résumé de l'évaluation

Contradictory behavior and disclosure
While often praised as helpful, timely, and good with setup/delivery, one detailed review alleges Eric withheld critical issues (broken water pump, moldy floor, faulty door latch) and aggressively pursued claims for pre-existing damage.
Inconsistent condition and functionality
While often described as clean, comfortable, and well-appointed with useful features like dual refrigerators, one renter reported severe issues including a broken water pump, moldy floor, and faulty door latch.

1.0Renters, avoid this one! Eric was polite and seemed honest and helpful and tried to help me with an adaptor. But the trailer was full of hidden problems. The water pump was broken, which he knew but didn't tell us, and water flooded onto the floor. So, we stopped using the water. The floor was soft in areas where it had apparently flooded before because it was moldy/decaying and it was risky to step too heavily; but the areas were covered or in places one would not look in an ordinary inspection like well into the master sleeping area. The door latch did not work when the trailer was leveled, which he knew about but did not tell me. On the contrary, he told me to level the jacks after a bit into the rental time. It seems the table area that converts to a bed was broken. To begin with we thought it was sloping because the trailer was uneven so that's when we leveled the trailer and moved that person to the bunk area. But when we tried to put it back as a table it fell and chipped; we are just lucky we were not injured. Looking back, it makes sense that the trailer is listed as delivery only; Eric was apparently setting it up so these hazards were not apparent on inspection. His wife was telling him to hurry up so the inspection was rushed. Eventually, I asked him to take his trailer away early, which he said he would but only did after a delay and after I contacted Outdoorsy to get him to respond. Then at pick up he filled out a form that he wanted me to sign that had a partial truth in it, detailing the chipped table but not the fact that the unit was already sloping and lumpy (presumably because it was already broken and an accident waiting to happen). He became angry when I said I'd sign it if that was also detailed on the form and his wife became aggressive and said to not let me put my observations on the form. I had a simple statement ready to sign saying the contract would end early at the time of pick up and they refused to sign that. He then put a claim against my security deposit for the table. And he included a fee for cleaning the sink, even though we had no water to clean with. Looking back, I believe that is how he tries to make some money - by setting people up for damage on rental time and making a claim against the renter. Our long awaited and longed for family retreat was entirely ruined; we moved out of the trailer as soon as possible because of its hazardous nature and people left early. It was a lot of money for nothing but dashed hopes and trouble. Thankfully Outdoorsy is being good about following up and I have urged Outdoorsy to do a thorough enough inspection of his vehicle so that they can detect these hidden problems and/or any recent repairs he has done that would cover the problems that existed during the rental. Good business practice would be reimbursing and compensating me for my time and our negative experience and taking that trailer off the rental listings, not making a claim!

5.0Eric was a great host... Very timely, easy to work with and the camper was in great condition. I loved having the inside and outside refrigerators!! The couch was comfortable and table was a good place to get some work done (unfortunately)... I would highly recommend both the camper and Eric..
