2004 Toyota Hiace Extra High Roof
The Albino Thylaceine is comfortable and very easy to drive, even for first time van drivers. My normal car is a sedan and I actually prefer driving this van. It has power steering and manual transmission, 5 speed. It's large enough inside to carry 2 bikes if you're keen to explore some of the amazing mountain biking tracks we have here in Tassie. While you're here, you'll want to check out our world famous national parks -I can include a national parks pass at a discounted additional cost. It's not a 4WD, but you'll be able to access plenty of the places on offer. After a day of exploring, you can rest comfortably in the back of Alby. Dark blockout curtains and custom window shades. . Sleeps 2 comfortably- if you have extra passengers I'd recommend bringing a tent and the other gear . Fitted with a AM/FM radio and an old school cassette deck (I'd recommend finding a sound track for your tassie trip, Or theres a bluetooth speaker you can play music off your phone on. It comes with a USB charging port and a micro USB cable, so you'll just need to BYO cord for Apple devices. Your hire comes with everything you'll need to spend time off the beaten track, including a butane cooker, cooking implements, pots and pans, coffee plunger, cutlery and cups, crockery, 1 x head torch, double mattress and bedding, 2 x camp chairs, 1 x small table, 1 x outdoor mat and fairy lights for the romance factor, anti mosquito coil and a 10L refillable water container. Please note no fridge but there' an eski (or chilly bin) you can stock woth ice and will keep essentials cool. BYO bike locks wont be room inside when you're sleeping at night. I travel in Alby with my 2 year old and have had an anchor point professionally installed especially to be able to carry a child seat safely. It's a great way to see the state with a young one. Child restraint can be provided for additional fee. I was born in Tasmania and have lived in most of my 37 years and am happy to provide information to help with planning your itinerary. Please don't hesitate to get in touch! I'm located 10 mins from the CBD- if you catch the 550 bus from Elizabeth St bus mall it will take you almost to the front door, otherwise it's around $12 Uber ride. There's free street parking available if you need to leave a vehicle behind but no responsibility assumed.
