Résumé de l'évaluation
Inconsistent communication, operational issues
Guests experienced helpful communication and orientations, but also significant delays in drop-off/pickup, last-minute changes to return agreements, policy inconsistencies (like towing), and a day-of cancellation for one renter.
Drives adequately, but persistent issues
The vehicle's engine was reported as having little power for hills, with a check engine light appearing. Interior items like the refrigerator, stove, heater, generator, shades, and bath door were noted as often faulty or rundown, or the overall condition was run-down and smelly for some.

2.0We rented this RV from John for a two-night camping trip at the Gorge Amphitheater. Overall, we think this RV does an adequate job for that task, but there were many issues worth mentioning. We paid for the RV to be dropped off near us at the Bellevue Walmart. The first problem was that they were 45 minutes late for drop-off. At drop-off, 1/4 of the gas tank was already gone, which seemed odd since they were only coming from Everett. The overall condition of the vehicle is run-down. It did not feel especially clean, and you could just sense this RV has lived a hard life as a rental. On the positive side, brand-new bedding was included. The vehicle drove reasonably. The check engine light came on, which John theorized was from driving too fast uphill. We arrived at the Gorge with no other issues. After we camped, we learned that the RV refrigerator couldn't keep the freezer cold or maintain a normal fridge temperature. We put Yeti cold packs in to treat it like a cooler. We tried boiling water on the stove, but it produced little flame, making it impractical. I don't think you could reasonably cook dinner on the cooktop. The generator worked, which we used sparingly to charge devices. We did not use the bathroom or sink. We tried to use the heater since it was cold but couldn't get it to output hot air. On the last day, we agreed to meet at 2, but at 1:58 we got a message that they wouldn't be there until 2:30. We were able to leave the keys in the car and avoid waiting around since we had a plane to catch. This was our first time renting an RV and first time using Outdoorsy, so we learned a lot. For going to the Gorge, where you don't need to use all of the RV features, this was fine, but we wouldn't recommend camping in this in more remote locations. John runs a business renting out several RVs, but it's clear he's not reinvesting his earnings in the upkeep of this vehicle.

4.0Was a good experience. Check in took longer than expected but John's worker was helpful and it was a little more than I thought it would be when we dropped it off. All in all it was a good trip. The motor home was clean and stocked well. Thanks John, Peggy Leitch

1.0If I could leave them ZERO stars I would. The owner was not the one I was being communicating with on the phone. They were both very unprofessional and didn't seem to be on the same page with information. I had to meet the owner on the side of the road because he was having issues with his landlord. I received a phone call from John around noon on the day we were scheduled to pick up RV saying the previous renters had broken the awning. Our trip was to Grand Coulee WA so I was very hot and sunny. Having no awning meant no shade at our campsite. The RV was also very smelly. Stale cigarette smoke and old car smell. Almost unbearable for a 5 hour trip in very hot weather. Engine had very little power so going over the mountains was a little sketchy. Dash vent controls would stop working randomly so the heat or AC would sporadically blow on you. Or not work at all. We wanted to bring an 8ft trailer so we wouldn't have to keep coolers and things inside with 3 kids and lab in the back. When we tried to hook it up, the tow hitch was locked. We asked and John said they don't allow towing but would have been nice to be aware because we used it on other Outdoorsy RV rentals in the past. And the worst part of the Rental with Keith and John, the water tank leaked. When we picked it up Keith said it showed 2/3 full but he knew it was full because he just filled it. We saw it leaking on or trip. We never even turned on the water for our trip and was charged $75 to fill it. Generator did not work either. It would click on and stay running for 5-10 min or so then turn off and not turn back on. The AC, microwave or any of the outlets were 120V so they didn't work without it. And lastly I was sure to ask John at what time I had to return rental....on the side of the road again. He said before the trip he was flexible because they did not have a scheduled rental until later in the week. He even said that if he got back too late we could keep it parked at my house overnight and he and Keith would pick it up in the morning. When we got back from trip and unloaded I called John and asked if it be possible to keep it overnight since it was around 7:00pm. He then said no they need it back ASAP so they could try to fix awning. It was just a lack of communication with the owner of the RV and John who was the one I talked with on the phone. It was the most unprofessional group of people I have ever used through Outdoorsy and will never rent through this company......duo again.
