5.0This was our first time renting through Outdoorsy and, wow, what a wonderful experience from start to finish! We selected Lucky, a perfectly equipped Sprinter. We’ve been dreaming about owning a van and, after this trial run trip, can’t wait to get one! It was everything we hoped and dreamed a van trip would be. 🙂 We’re a family of 4 and brought sleeping bags for the kids (11 and 13) so they could have some personal space while sharing the bottom bunk. It worked great! Chester and Sam (van owners) were so communicative and helpful. Chester gave us a thorough tour of how to use everything and was patient enough to answer my questions about van ownership as we plan to convert one. He even had some camping equipment for us to check out which made packing and unpacking soo much easier! I got to enjoy fresh coffee with the help of their French press and hot pot every morning… 👌 It’s really stocked up nicely and ready to go! Highly recommend this team and vehicle— it was a trip for the memory book! ☺️

How is the van powered without a generator?

Lucky Van is all electric all the time! A robust onboard battery stack powers all of Lucky Van’s cabin systems. All heat*, appliances, hot water, outlets, charge ports, fan/AC, etc run off the battery. The battery charges off the van alternator while underway and can be hooked up to shore power. Hooking up to shore power will charge the battery and provide power at the same time. Battery charge life depends on what is drawing power and for how long. *Heat can also run on van’s diesel.
