You can park in a campsite with or without electricity. You will get lights and fan power with just the battery or you can plug into an outlet for enough power to play music, charge phones or use laptops (not that you would want to while camping). We pulled this little guy from Wisconsin to Yellowstone and hardly spent anything extra on gas.
