Located on the back side of Haleakala Volcano within walking distance to the famous Seven Sacred Pools, this campground is perfect for people who want to explore nearby waterfalls, bamboo forests and beaches. $15 entrance fee into Haleakala National Park per vehicle (or Free with receipt from the summit of Haleakala Volcano if within 3 days).Olowalu Campground- Situated directly on the ocean by the best snorkeling and kayaking destination in West Maui, with hot showers, drinking water, sink, restrooms, picnic tables. Great views of the West Maui Mountains and short drive (or walk) to a few restaurants or fruit stand. This campground is located in the most dry area of the can drive in anytime ! $20 PP. They also have a kayak rental business right there in the camp and is an amazing experience some of the best whale watching, snorkeling, and kayaking Maui has to offer !.
Hosmer Grove Campground –
Located just below the 7,000 foot elevation level on the slopes of Haleakala Volcano with picnic tables, BBQ grills, toilets, drinking rfect to see Haleakala sunrise !
Wai’anapanapa State Park Campground –
Also along the Road to Hana, this campsite is located by a gorgeous black sand beach, lava tube, natural freshwater caves, sea arches, a blowhole, hiking trail and more. You must get a camping permit online or in person before you show up.Papalaua Wayside Park-
This laid-back beach is a long sliver of sand with amazing snorkeling spots, you need to obtain a permit for camping here.
Free Beach Camping –
There is a place call Windmill Beach you can camp for 3 days also.
