Meet Gypsea! Born in 1975, this beautifully restored VW Riviera camper van with manual transmission sleeps 4 with bunk accommodations. She comes stocked with a Coleman portable stove top, cooler and lantern but doesn’t have many of the bells and whistles of modern vehicles (such as air conditioning and power steering). Check our add-ons for bedding or any extra camping supplies you may desire. This stylish girl turns a lot of heads, gets a lot of smiles and shakas and is ready for a fun Maui adventure! The question is, are you?!If you love classic cars, are proficient at driving stick shift and are a fan of one-of-a-kind experiences that are full of exciting twists and turns, plus a photo op on wheels, camping with Gypsea is perfect for you!For more pictures, check out Gypsea and her sister, 1972 VW camper van, Lilikoi (also available to rent on Outdoorsy), on Instagram at @ere.Please Note: We pride ourselves on taking great care of this vintage van with regular maintenance. But, due to her age, there may be the occasional quirk or unexpected setback. In the event of an issue, we are here to help you troubleshoot (along with Outdoorsy’s Roadside Assistance) the best we can and most of the time, you’ll be back on the road quickly. In the extremely rare case that Gypsea requires more assistance than we are capable of providing, we will promptly process the refund through Outdoorsy for any remaining nights at that time.Additional Notes:
--Must be 25 years or older to rent.
--Pick up time is 3pm or later, drop off time is 10am or earlier unless other arrangements are made at least 24 hours in advance. (Please be aware, airport pick-up and drop-off is only available as an add-on when it falls within these times unless agreed upon in advance.)
--NO Going UP Haleakala (Higher than Kula)
--No climbing on roof
--No pets
--No smoking
--Must be 25 years or older to rent.
