Meet Hugh JackVan. True to his name, this custom Mercedes Sprinter 4x4 pairs Wolverine ruggedness with Greatest Showman flair. Whether you’re cruising the dramatic cliffs of the Northern California coast or seeking a cozy winter sanctuary in the mountains, Hugh is engineered to make off-grid exploration comfortable, fun, and bucket list worthy. We know that a great trip starts long before you turn the key. We pride ourselves on making the entire experience—from your first question to final drop-off—completely worry-free, clear, and welcoming. Just pack your bags (and your four-legged friend) and let the adventure begin!• Spacious Living & Dining: With full standing height, swiveling front seats, and an open layout, there's plenty of room to stretch out. The massive U-shaped dinette comfortably seats six for epic game nights or shared meals, and when day turns to night, it transforms into a King-size bed with a thick topper for a perfect night's sleep.• Indoor Kitchen & Outdoor Lounge: Cook comfortably inside the fully equipped kitchen with hot running water, microwave, and two-burner stove. The fridge fits a surprising amount of groceries and features a fully functioning freezer so you can stock up for the whole trip. When the weather is nice, slide out the massive rear drawer to serve as the perfect outdoor bar, DJ booth, or tailgate table for camp partying.• Set the Mood: Hugh comes alive after dark with incredible atmosphere control. Turn up the premium soundbar and built-in subwoofer, snap up the easy-to-install blackout curtains for total privacy, and dial in custom colors on the interior light strip to match your vibe—or flip on the powerful exterior lighting to illuminate your campsite under the stars.• Catch the Breeze: On beautiful days, you can completely open up the van to nature. Crack the awning windows and turn on the MaxxAir ceiling fan to pull a steady cross-breeze through the cabin. Our full set of custom, snap-on bug screens for the side slider, rear doors, and front windows lets fresh air in while keeping pests out.• The Ultimate Winter Basecamp: Built to handle the cold, the cabin features heavy-duty insulation and a thermostat-controlled heater. Because the heater runs on diesel directly from the fuel tank, it won't drain your house battery—meaning you can stay toasty all night with total peace of mind. Plus, there's a tall exterior locker that is perfect to stash your wet gear in before you even step inside.• True Power Independence: The solar-powered system charges continuously, leaving you with more than enough energy to run the fridge around the clock, power the lights, and charge your devices without a second thought.• Premium Drive: Tough all-terrain tires and a 4x4 chassis give you total confidence on mountain passes or dirt roads, while adaptive cruise control, leather seating, and Apple CarPlay make the highway miles fly by.Ce qui est inclus• The Ringmaster's Guide: Our custom van manual and NorCal roadmap.• Kitchen & Sleep: Cooking essentials (pots/pans/utensils), pillows, Egyptian cotton sheets, and blankets.• Linens & Clean-Up: Quick-dry bath towels and washcloths for the humans, a dedicated towel for muddy paws, and all the essential cleaning supplies to keep things tidy on the road.• Fun & Games: Travel chess/checkers, playing cards, and other activities.• Amenities & Comfort: Portable camping toilet, propane-heated outdoor shower, and privacy tent.Autres points à signalerStay on the Path: Hugh’s 4x4 capability is built to get you safely through mud and snow and out to beautiful dispersed camping spots. However, he is not an off-road toy. Please stick to driven paths and avoid rough, aggressive terrain that could damage the custom interior.

Renting Hugh JackVan van was a great experience from start to finish. The owners were friendly, responsive, and made the pickup and return process quick and easy. The van was clean, well-maintained, and exactly as described, which made for a smooth and enjoyable trip. The bed is large and incredibly comfortable. I would definitely rent from them again - highly recommend to anyone looking for a reliable adventure vehicle!

Loved the warm, comfy large bed, dog friendly and had everything we needed. We had enough power throughout the trip to run the refrigerator constantly, plug in my cpap during the night and charge anything we needed, with plenty to spare. Excellent communication with hosts, even when we had questions on the road. Like staying in a compact, beautiful hotel room. We loved it and can’t wait for another opportunity to rent again. Thanks Bethany and Jeff!

Meet the team behind the van: a pair of firefighters who transitioned from previous careers in education and government. We know the value of both high adventure and deep rest. One of us brings a handyman's eye for a solid setup and the other is a yoga teacher with a focus on wellness and ritual. We believe every trip should have a balance of practicality, luxury, and soul so we're grateful to share Hugh with you. He's a sanctuary on wheels, a place to disconnect from the noise and reconnect with the wild.
