Responsive, helpful, and accommodating
Hosts (Happy Hawaii, including Gabe) are very communicative, quick to respond to questions, and accommodating to requests. They are friendly, caring, and ensure issues are resolved, often stocking the van with useful amenities.
Drives well for island touring
The van generally drives well for island exploration (14 MPG) but struggles on steep hills and unpaved roads. Its length makes some turns tricky. Amenities include a fan, cooler, sink, stealth windows, and stocked essentials. Some doors have quirks, and wipers need replacing.

5.0This van had everything we needed. We spent three nights in it and it was perfect for getting around the island. The fan made it nice and cool at night and it’s pretty well suited for semi-stealth camping with the blackout windows. The host was super responsive to questions and recommendations. Taking the van to the different beaches and hikes has been my favorite part of our vacation so far. Has a cooler to keep your poke in ice for about a day and keeps your drinks cold/cool for about two. The backup cam was nice to have and since the right rear windows are blacked out there’s a pretty big blind spot to just use your passenger princess/prince to clear your path. She’s got quirks like some of the rear/side doors only opening from the inside/outside but you get used to it fairly quick. If you’re renting a camper van you probably go with the flow anyway…

3.0The van was a good experience to see north shore. Although, the van was a little outdated than the pictures. The side door could only be opened from the inside and the back door could only be opened from the outside. When going down steep hills, the van struggled. The windshield wipers need replacing. Despite all of this, the van allowed us to explore more of the island than we could’ve in a car.
