Freedom. Adventure. And a free bed for the night. We can leave the city (New York City) on a Friday after work and go till we're tired, then we sleep. Get up and get where we want to be. No fear of finding a hotel or Fomo because you "have to make a hotel reservation." Welcome to the VanLife.Jess and I explored South America by Van in 2015 and returned to find this slumbering love bug under a tree in Michigan. We brought her back to life, with all the things we want in a an Adventure Van. Built for city escape and cruises to the beach or the mountains. Our favorites? Vermont, Maine and Long Beach Island. (Jeff likes East Burke, VT a World Famous Mountain Biking Town)There is something enjoyable about driving a Vanagon. It's a vehicle made for slow travel and adventure. You will be enjoying the drive and meeting folks along the way. Get exploring.Pickup is at 12noon. Drop-off is at 12noon. Rentals are on a 24 hour period. Alternate requests can be coordinated, just message us.
This vehicle is manual. Must know how to drive a stick. The Van is located a 4 minute walk, 3 blocks, from the Hoboken Path stop in a parking garage. The Path train is an easy 12 minute subway ride from 33rd street or WTC direct to Hoboken. Path also leaves from Newark Airport, EWR, direct to the Hoboken Path stop in under 20 minutes.Add ons seen in the pictures; kayaks, bike rack, etc can be upgraded under "add ons" via the outdoorsy platform. We have a 1990 Multivan Westfalia, the 'mobile office' and a 1986 Vintage Vanagon, a bit more pretty vs its sporty Westy brother. We have one setup for sports and one setup for Glamping - fitting our personalities. We fell in love with Van Life and Adventure travel in 2014 and have spent a large portion of that on and off the road. In South America while renting a van, Jess proclaimed "we need something like this in New York!" and now we provide that to you.
