The Grand Valley is full of world class mountain biking, hiking, wineries, fishing, kayaking, rafting, SUPing, bird watching, etc. We are nestled in a valley surrounded by The Grand Mesa, The Colorado National Monument, The Bookcliffs, the Colorado and Gunnison Rivers. The abundance of land is mind boggling! Grand Junction is surrounded by more than a million acres of public lands. Some places might require permits or fees, just remember these fees go towards conservation and management of the lands. There are over 20 official campsites within the Grand Valley. Two of our favorite places to camp are 18 Rd in Fruita and Knowles Overlook (Rabbit Valley) in Loma. There is no better place to enjoy the sunrise in the morning, the sun setting in the evening and the deserts' starry night sky.Grand Junction has a happening downtown with a fun, vibrant Main Street. Some of our favorite places to eat and drink are: Kiln Coffee, Sol Cafe, Taco Party, The Hog and The Hen, Trail Life Brewing and the Feisty Pint.Fruita - a couple of our favorite places to hang out are BestSlope Coffee, Hot Tomato Pizza, Karma Kitchen, Copper Club Brewing, Basecamp Provisions. Autres points à signalerVehicle must be returned with a full tank of gas, reasonably clean and free of mud. If not, gas and cleaning fees will come out of your deposit. No smoking or vaping in the van.TREAD LIGHTLY! Please travel responsibly while using the van, by staying on designates routes, trails and area. Cross streams at designated fords, try to avoid wet, muddy trails. Do your part by leaving an area better than you found it!Weather and road conditions can change unexpectedly, please stay up to date on conditions, I cannot stress that enough!* Per the Colorado Association of 4 Wheel Drive Clubs, Inc (CA4WDCI) .“Trail ratings are highly subjective. A trail that is easy for an experienced driver with a highly modified vehicle may be impassable for a novice driver in a stock vehicle. Weather conditions may also significantly affect the difficulty of a trail. Also, the difficulty of a trail may change over time, as trail use, weather, and maintenance modify the trail. Always check with the managing organization and/or recent users before planning a trip on a trail and scout ahead on foot if you are not sure of current conditions.”Any damages to the vehicle during your rental, will be your responsibility. Damages will result in loss of deposit or additional charges.

Rencontrez votre hôte, Tammy

Membre depuis 2022

Hello travelers,
I'm Tammy and I live in Grand Junction with my very active husband, two very active dogs and one, slower moving horse. We love living in Grand Junction and the easy access it provides to the high desert of Western Colorado and Southern Utah. When not sitting at a desk, we keep ourselves busy with hiking, biking, horseback riding, exploring canyons, floating the Colorado River via kayak and SUP's, golfing and pickleball-ing. We are also big supporters of our local restaurants, brewpubs, winery's and coffee shops.
I used to work in film production and PR and I have switched gears to outdoor adventure facilitation! "The Lemon Squeezer," has proven to be a fun and capable vehicle, perfect for exploring the Western Slope and beyond. With The Squeezer as your mode of transportation, my wish is to make your trip super easy and memorable. I am happy to accommodate special requests, itinerary recommendations, and field any questions you may have!
