Understanding Mileage and Generator Hours
As a drivable RV there are some additional expenses that go along with the nightly rental rate. We include 150 miles a day free with your rental. If you’re headed on a long road trip you can carry over your daily free miles.
If you take a longer trip any mileage over the allotted free miles would be charged at .50 cents per mile.
The other variable is Generator Hours. If you’re headed to a campground with hookups you won’t typically need the generator. You would use the generator in several scenarios.
If you are off the grid with no electrical hookups (Yellowstone/Nascar) the generator will run everything.
If you are traveling in hot or cold temperatures. You have AC & heat in the front area but it may not be enough to keep the whole RV comfy while traveling, the gen can power the Hvac.
One other reason you might use the generator: if you stop at a Rest Area for lunch and decide you want to heat up the leftover dip from dinner!
We include 4 hours of generator use per day free. Extra hours are charged at $3.00 per hour.Fees. Let’s be honest – nobody like fees. We really don’t like them, and we try hard to not have them.
Here are our optional fees.

We started out tent camping, bought our 1st Pop-up at a Garage Sale and rebuilt it, moved on to a bigger Pop-up and then a Trailmanor. When we sold a house and had no place to store a camper we sold the camper and then went back to tent camping - while hiking tall mountains (Pike's Peak & Mt. Whitney were amazing!). Then while doing a few days on the Appalachian Trail a horrific thunderstorm seemed to take away some of the zest for tent camping for my wife and we came back to campers! Love helping people take their first camping trip and experiencing the outdoors.
