Rene’s 2015 Airstream Interstate 3500 EXT

From the start of our rental 9 am on Wednesday the Rv/van was not ready. Host asked if we would be willing to pick up 2 hours later due to it not being cleaned. We figured out a plan that worked. The same night the check engine light came on and I notified the host, he said not to worry. The following day we lost horsepower and had to cancel our plans due to safety concerns. I reached out to outdoorsy on Friday morning and they had to send out a mechanic. The mechanic stated it was low on oil. He filled the oil and that was it. It seemed to be fine after that for a short drive into town. The following day we headed into the park and after arriving to our destination the check engine light came back on and we had the same issue, we lost horsepower again. Being that there is poor cell service there and due to the vehicle issues we decided to cut the day short, cancel our plans and head back as soon as the issue seem to subside. All in all we missed out on 3 days of planned activities. I will add that the host did offer a full refund on day 2 if we wanted to return but we were already invested $3000+ in our Airbnb and other activities. Plus at that time we weren't sure it would make the 6 hours to get back, which is why we had outdoorsy step in with a mechanic. Unfortunately this did put a damper in our trip and up until I asked for a refund of some sort the host was communicative. He stopped responding once I asked for a refund. The Rv/van was comfortable we had no other issues. I do want to add that while the mechanic was out my husband noticed rat droppings in the engine area. To be clear there was none in the inside of the vehicle. The host was made aware of everything. We previously rented our 15 passenger van out on Turo and being that this is a similar platform I have to say this was not allowed. Maintenance is a must, oil obviously is a MUST! the safety of your guests and their parties is and should always be top priority. I will say it probably wasn't done intentionally but it should have never happen to begin with.

Absolutely amazing vehicle and the hosts could not fault them really went above and beyond for me in the vehicle was so flash! Absolutely recommend and would definitely use it again

We rented this RV for our family trip, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish! The RV was clean, well-maintained, and very comfortable for traveling long distances. It had everything we needed, and the seating and space worked out perfectly for our family. Driving was smooth, and the van made visiting the national parks so much easier and enjoyable. Pickup and drop-off were straightforward, and the host provided clear instructions that made everything simple. The host was also excellent — very friendly, helpful, and quick to answer our questions. Their clear communication gave us peace of mind, and it was clear they truly cared about making our trip enjoyable. Overall, we had a fantastic time and would definitely rent this RV again for another trip. Highly recommend both the RV and the host to anyone looking for a reliable and comfortable camper experience! 👍👍👍
