2020 TAXA Outdoors Mantis Camper
Meet Lagom Advntr, our 2020 Taxa Mantis and the perfect habitat for your next campsite in North Carolina. Thoughtful design around small spaces inspired by Nasa and curated outfitting by an awesome family of 4 has created a 19-foot-long habitat that comfortably houses 2 adults and 2-3 children day or night inside + 2 adults on the optional Rooftop Tent.Lagom Advntr features a collection of premium live-able accessories to make your trip as comfortable as you need it to be. From an integrated 12V electrical system, wet bath with a shower and cassette toilet, A/C, furnace, hot water system, and a galley kitchen with a two burner stove and sink, you can enjoy a weekend getaway or a few weeks at a campsite in almost any weather.Our habitat features adaptable spaces that easily transform to fit your life at the campsite. From a large cafe table that turns into a Full/Queen size bed at night to the folding couch/bunk bed system that comfortably sleeps both children and adults. You can even add in one or two hammocks to increase your sleeping capacity or simply hangout inside during a rainy day!Reservations: We are currently Only accepting Delivery & Setup (stationary) reservations to any campsite within a 75 mile radius of Chapel Hill. If you have selected a campsite further away, contact us and we will work with you as best as we can.OFF-Grid/Boondocking: Lagom Advntr is equipped with a 170Ah Lithium battery that will allow off-grid/boondocking for around 5 days, depending on electricity usage. If you are interested in a campsite that does not have shore power available, we strongly recommend limiting your adventure to 5 days. Please note some accessories will work only with shore power (i.e. A/C and toaster oven)Pets: Pets are welcome with prior approval and are subject to additional pet cleaning fees. This was a wonderful experience from start to finish. We really enjoyed working with Jean Carlos, he is such a warm and professional host! He made sure we felt comfortable operating the camper and encouraged us to make ourselves at home. Our family had 3 worry-free days of outdoor fun because Jean Carlos had thought of everything. The design of the the TAXA Mantis was the most impressive part. The camper is roomy, airy and practically organized itself. Bonus items: *Jean Carlos was always available for questions and communication. *Delivery of the camper allowed us to bring our bike rack/bikes on this trip. *Dog-friendly! Without this option we would not be able to travel at this time.

The whole experience was terrific—from set up at our site, to prompt and easy pick up. Jean Carlos’ camper was packed with thoughtful details and we had everything we could possibly need to enjoy it for a few days. We definitely recommend!

This was our first time in a Mantis, and we all enjoyed it. Jean was great to talk to and set up everything quickly. The entire experience was simple and the week was enjoyable and a great getaway.

Such a fun trip! Jean Carlos was so patient with me as a new camper. This camper was the perfect cozy size for a family of four. The kids LOVED the bunks and the queen was big enough for even my 6’4” husband. They thought of everything. We were able to grill on their outdoor grill with the gas connection to the RV, use the outdoor shower for all of our washing needs, and we set up his kid swing, hammocks, played all the games… literally everything! One night got down in 30s and while the camper stayed pretty snuggly, I’d recommend bringing a couple extra pillows and heavy blankets if you want to glamp it up next level. 5 stars!!!!

This was a lifesaver when I realized I had more guests than bedrooms for Thanksgiving. I heard rumblings of renting an air bnb for the overflow but could not imagine having guests who traveled across the country even a mile away. Having the Mantis close to the house meant everyone was together for the late night and early morning times. It also meant that everyone had their own private retreat depending on their sleep schedule or if they needed a nap or a break from the festivities. Jean Carlos was very attentive from suggesting the perfect spot for the mantis to arranging the linens and extra touches for the comfort of my guests. No complaints! Would definitely rent again.
