Let the good times roll with Albert the Surfside
Roll into your campsite like it’s 1973 with a fully renovated vintage camper.
Albert combines the comforts of home with the freedom of the open road. All you have to do is
pack your bags and we'll hitch you up so that you can get rolling towards your next adventure.
He has a refreshed two-tone painted exterior, and a modern minimalist interior that includes white
washed oak, custom cushion covers and drapes, bamboo sheets, and Pendleton blankets.
Albert is compact and lightweight which makes him perfect for a first time tow-er. Only a foot
longer than a Boler, a Surfide is a great option for someone who hovers above 6 ft tall, or a group
who wants a little extra space to move around.

This is our second time booking a trailer with BLKBIRD. They are so well thought through and beautifully refurbished. The bedding is fantastic and they provide everything you need. Communication is quick, knowledgeable and overall just great and they have been very accommodating.

This unit was so fun to camp with. Jerad was professional and very helpful. The unit came with the water and propane tanks full so it was ready to take on the road as soon as I picked it up!

In from Ontario this was our first family Rocky Mountain camping trip and renting Albert offered much more comfort than we had ever expected. The choice of mattress and bedding were better than some hotels we’ve stayed in with the perk of being able to roll up lakeside in style. Traveling with a toddler we really appreciated the hosts attentiveness and considerations in little details down to suggestions on sleeping arrangements with rail guard for the little one. Along the way we met a couple who had previously rented Albert and inspired by the experience now have a camper of their own! Really can’t recommend this one enough. Beyond 5 stars !!

Albert is a sweet little trailer, easy to tow and very comfortable. Everything worked perfectly (I didn't use the power or water hookup) and instructions were great.

Blk Bird Inc est un super hôte

Les super hôtes sont très bien notés et expérimentés, ce qui vous garantit une formidable expérience en plein air.

An avid tent camper and rock climber, Jonathan Kitto always knew he wanted to experience the outdoors with his kids, but recognized the challenges that can come with camping with little ones. Especially with Alberta’s ever-changing weather and toddler sleep schedules. After renovating his first Boler, he was hooked. The process of taking the camper apart and putting it back together was equally as exciting as having a modern home on wheels for his family. What started as a one-time project evolved into BLK Bird Campers after conversations around the campfire with his friend and business partner, Jerad Thon, moved away from current events and the ups and downs of running small businesses, to renovation ideas and plans for hunting down and picking up old campers from across western Canada. Each BLK Bird camper has been around for a while and comes with its own unique origin story. Both Jonathan and Jerad have started making memories of their own while camping with their families, and they hope that by renting their meticulously renovated vintage campers that other people will be able to comfortably connect with the outdoors and create some epic memories of their own.
